NHL DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, November 25th

Finding value is going to be key tonight so we can pay up for the big boys, so let’s dive into it and get cooking!
NHL DFS Pick'em Picks On Underdog With Promo Code ALARM
Before we get into DFS, let’s make some pick’em picks for the night over on Underdog.
There are lots of ways we try to fill your wallet over here at Fantasy Alarm and this is just another option.
Underdog NHL Picks, Wednesday, November 27th
- Kirill Kaprizov O/3.5 SOG
- Cale Makar O/0.5 PTS
- Alexandar Georgiev O/2.5 GA
It’s crazy just how good Kirill Kaprizov has been on the road. The Russian winger has racked up most of his shots away from home, and the Buffalo Sabres aren’t able to contain him. He’s hit the over in four of his last five and will do it again tonight.
Cale Makar and the Avalanche are a much better team on home ice. They score more goals and generate more scoring chances. Makar is an elite, offensive defenceman, so even with a tough matchup, I think he can find his way onto the scoresheet.
Sticking with the Avalanche, Alexandar Georgiev is confirmed to start tonight, and he is so bad at stopping hockey pucks. It doesn’t matter if he plays at home or not, he’s going to get lit up by a very good Vegas team. We could see the over hit before the second period is even over.
Wednesday Salary Cap DFS Picks
Goalie Of The Day: Elvis Merzlikins - CBJ
Listen, Elvis Merzlikins isn’t a very good goalie and I don’t like paying a premium for netminders who are below-average, but this is a matchup we need to exploit. The Canadiens are playing the tail end of a back-to-back and had just 13 total shots on goal last night.
That included three minutes of overtime. Montreal can’t generate any offense and they aren’t going to magically get better tonight. Merzlikins isn’t worth considering in GPPs, but for cash games, all we want is the win and he can lock that up.
Play Of The Day: Zach Werenski - CBJ
There is nothing wrong with paying up for Nathan MacKinnon, Nikita Kucherov or Makar, but with the Play of The Day, we are looking for some value. Zach Werenski is, by far, the best value on the slate.
We know Montreal can’t score goals, but they also allow a ton of shots and Cayden Primeau hasn’t been very good this season. Weresnki is elite and we are getting him at $7500. He could hit value without registering a single point. Trust me, you don’t want to fade him.
Value Play Of The Day: Tommy Novak
I’m taking a chance with the Predators tonight. They haven’t played very well to this point, but they are still loaded with skill up front. Tommy Novak is expected to skate on the second line with Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault, two players who can find the back of the net.
Novak is $2800 and is facing a Flyers team that is allowing the 5th most goals against on the road. If you need a discount option, this is the route to go.
Stack Of The Day - CBJ PP1 (Sean Monahan - Kent Johnson - Zach Werenski)
Guess which NHL team allows the most goals against per game on the road? That’s correct, the Montreal Canadiens. Did I mention they are playing the tail end of a back-to-back?
This is a great spot to stack Columbus at a very reasonable price tag. I’ll target the power play so I can get maximum exposure.
