DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

Make sure you don't overlook our impressive selection of 7 games, showcasing top-notch players in advantageous matchups. While you can't resist the likes of Auston Matthews and Kirill Kaprizov, there are also incredible value options worth considering.

Goalies play a vital role in determining our lineups, so make your choices wisely. Whether you decide to go for a high-end goalie or a more affordable one, keep in mind that goalies can be quite unpredictable.

Favorite Goalies to Use for DFS Lineups

Cam Talbot, G, Los Angeles Kings

It’s always a good idea to start a goalie against the Anaheim Ducks. They are one of the worst offensive teams in the league and that trend won’t change tonight. Los Angeles is an above-average team on the road and Cam Talbot is in a good spot to pick up the win. He’s the best option for your cash-game lineup.

Juuse Saros, G, Nashville Predators

Even on the tail end of a back-to-back, Nashville is in a great spot tonight. They are at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets, a team that isn’t very good and that struggles to generate offence. Juuse Saros is an elite option and should be considered when building your cash game lineup.

Casey DeSmith, G, Vancouver Canucks

The Edmonton Oilers are playing the tail end of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights. We also don’t know if Connor McDavid will be available for this game. Casey DeSmith has lost four in a row, but I think he is good value tonight. If anything, we can get him at low ownership. If McDavid can’t go, that gives DeSmith a huge boost and a good chance to pick up the win.

Cayden Primeau, G, Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens have been playing some great hockey of late and they have a good matchup against an Ottawa team that can’t score. Primeau has been good in his last five and is worth considering in a GPP.

Jesper Wallstedt, G, Minnesota Wild

Maybe DraftKings forgot to update Jesper Wallstedt’s price tag, but there is no reason for him to be $6500 against San Jose tonight. Minnesota is playing their second game in as many nights and are coming off a tough loss to the Golden Knights, but San Jose is one of the worst teams in the league and they can’t generate offence. Wallstedt is in a good spot tonight and his ownership will be quite high considering his price.

Recommended DFS Skaters

Highest Expected Goal Totals

Los Angeles Kings Vs John Gibson (3.7)

Minnesota Wild Vs. MacKenzie Blackwood (3.7)

Nashville Predators Vs. Jet Greaves(4.2)

Favorite Skaters to Use for DFS Lineups

Auston Matthews, C, Toronto Maple Leafs

Auston Matthews is two goals away from 70 on the season and he could very well get there tonight. Detroit needs this win badly to keep their playoff hopes alive, but they won’t slow down Matthews, who has ten goals in his last ten games and is averaging over five shots a game. He’s a no-brainer in cash games.

Sidney Crosby, C, Pittsburgh Penguins

Sidney Crosby has 20 points in the last ten games and is determined to carry his team into the playoffs. The Penguins’ captain has been amazing down the stretch and that will continue tonight. His matchup against Boston isn’t ideal, but considering how he’s playing, it’s hard to imagine him not having a good game tonight.

Kirill Kaprizov, W, Minnesota Wild

You know you’re going to get elite Kirill Kaprizov tonight. He has a great matchup against San Jose and he’s been very consistent over his last ten games, totalling 13 points. He’s an expensive option, but worth every dollar.

Filip Forsberg, W, Nashville Predators

Filip Forsberg is coming off a three-goal performance against the Chicago Blackhawks and he could very well add a few more to his total before the end of the night. He’s an elite player that loves to shoot the puck and he’s going to get a lot of chances against Columbus. He is a great option in all formats.

Roman Josi, D, Nashville Predators

Sticking with the Predators, Roman Josi is also in a great spot tonight. We know he is gifted offensively and he’s going to get a lot of great looks tonight. His price tag is up there, but his floor is so high that he could hit value without registering a point. I like him paired with Forsberg as a nice mini-stack in cash games.

Brock Faber, D, Minnesota Wild

Brock Faber is having a fantastic rookie season. He has 44 points on the season, 28 coming on the road. He is seeing a healthy amount of ice time and has a very good matchup against San Jose. It almost feels unfair to be able to play him at $5200 on DraftKings
