🔥 Avalanche vs Wild Prediction: Monday, May 11th

There is only one game on the schedule tonight, but it promises to be a high-scoring matchup. The Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild are both offensive powerhouses, and there’s likely no end in sight for the goals. While both coaches would prefer to see better defensive play and more timely saves, we’re here for the excitement!

Mackenzie Blackwood is set to start Game 4 after Scott Wedgewood was unable to complete the last game. This will be Blackwood’s first start of the postseason, and he will be eager to deliver an outstanding performance to secure his starting position. DraftKings has set the save total at 24.5, which seems surprisingly low. Wedgewood stopped 30 and 29 shots in the first two games, so there’s no reason to think Blackwood won’t face a similar volume of shots. The Wild are expected to continue generating chances, and it’s likely that the Avalanche's goalie could exceed the save total without needing overtime.

On the Minnesota side, one player stands out for his shot prop: Ryan Hartman. With Joel Eriksson-Ek confirmed to miss Game 4, Hartman will continue to receive top-line and power-play minutes. He has totalled 15 shots in the series, yet his shot total is set at just 2.5. While Hartman has traditionally been a low-volume shooter, increased ice time and Minnesota's strategy to push the pace could lead him to take more shots on goal.
