NHL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 12/04
St. Louis Blues vs Boston Bruins Prediction
I know the Boston Bruins are without David Pastrnak, and Joonas Korpisalo is getting the start, but the Blues being favourites ON THE ROAD is definitely a choice. Boston has been mediocre lately, but St. Louis has been terrible all season. They don’t generate many shots on goal, resulting in just 2.53 goals per game. We get the Bruins at plus money on home ice, which is enough value to take a chance and hope Korpisalo can put together a decent performance in front of the fans at TD Garden.

Today's NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Stacks
Goalie of the Day: Filip Gustavsson - MIN
It’s been a great run for the Minnesota Wild and Filip Gustavsson. His stats in November significantly improved, and he’s giving his team a real chance to win whenever he’s on the ice. The Flames struggle to score goals, and that likely won’t change tonight. We can get Gustavsson at a very good price on DraftKings, so put him in your lineup and move on.
Honourable Mention: Brandon Bussi - CAR
The Carolina Hurricanes should start Brandon Bussi most of the time going forward. He has won five consecutive games and has a 7-1-0 record. The Hurricanes are a balanced hockey team that defends very well. The Maple Leafs struggle on the road and can’t put together a full 60-minute game. Bussi is a reliable option in all formats.
Player of the Day: Sidney Crosby - PIT
Sidney Crosby may be 38, but he shows no signs of slowing down. He has scored five goals in the last three games against a Tampa Bay team that is hampered by injuries. This should be a high-scoring game, so I’ll include Crosby in my lineup and keep moving forward.
Honourable Mention: Nathan MacKinnon - COL
DK has finally raised Nathan MacKinnon’s price to 10K, but it’s still not high enough. He’s averaging 21.5 fantasy points per game, though that drops to 19.2 on the road. The Islanders can defend, but MacKinnon is matchup-proof and still able to rack up a solid amount of points. Some might be hesitant to roster him, but scared money don’t make money.
Value Play of the Day: Kevin Hayes - PIT
If you're looking to get some exposure to the Penguins and the top line, Kevin Hayes is worth considering. The veteran skates alongside Crosby at five-on-five and gets some ice time on the second power play unit. He scored a goal in the last game, so naturally, DK lowered his price. The Lightning are missing some key players, and we can’t rely on Jonas Johansson. He’s a great value pick on this slate.
