It's a Thursday in the NHL tonight and boy do we have some games to dig into! With 11 games on the slate that means plays aplenty for the best bets tonight and many angles and wagers to toss around. The theme tonight for me is offenses in great spots and in DFS there are so many stacks to choose from and in betting there are some glaring matchups. In today's article you will find a trio of bets from a Puck Line to a Money Line and of course a game total leaning towards the over! Best of luck to all of you betting tonight and see everyone back here tomorrow!

NHL Best Bets for November 9

Edmonton Oilers at San Jose Sharks

Well it finally happened the Sharks won a hockey game! While its great to see a team down so bad get one I think they go back to their losing ways tonight against Connor McDavid and company. The Oilers have been so frustrating this season as they are 2-8-1 but we have seen countless teams come in and just destroy San Jose. They play slow and awful defense and regardless of the season so far the Oilers have big time weapons that can score in bunches. This is a game where McDavid score 4-5 points without a doubt and the Oilers are 1st in xGF this season so I say they beat the brakes off of the home team tonight and I'll take the Puck Line of -1.5

Pick: Edmonton Oilers Puck Line -1.5 (-140 on Caesars)

Vancouver Canucks at Ottawa Senators

In the world of betting we love to fade team on back to back game nights and that's the situation the Senators are in this evening. They are coming off an impressive win over the Maple Leafs last night but now they will be tasked with playing host to a 9-2-1 Canucks team that is surging and playing great defense. The Canucks are scoring 4.5 goals per game the most in the NHL and on the back end they are allowing just 2 goals per game the 2nd best in the league. The Senators live off of their offense and if they get shut down with tired bodies I just can't see them winning tonight. They will likely be starting Anton Forsberg tonight as well and he has a GAA of 3.4 and SV% of .863, going to be open season for the Canucks offense on their way to victory tonight.

Pick: Vancouver Canucks Money Line (-120 on PointsBet)

Minnesota Wild at New York Rangers

What a difference a season can make as the Wild were a lock all of last year for unders but now every game they play is a barn burner! The Wild have now gone over the total in 9 of 12 games this season with a push and are scoring 3.58 goals per game. On defense they are allowing 4 goals per game and the goaltenders look completely lost at this time. Marc-Andre Fleury will start for the Wild and while he has been the better of the pair he is still allowing 2.7 goals per game with a .899 SV%. On the Rangers side Louis Domingue will make his Rangers debut, and we all remember him as the 3rd string starter from the playoffs in Pittsburgh a few years ago now. I have no idea what to expect from him but I would bet he's a major downgrade from Shesterkin. The Rangers offense has also scored 11 total goals over the last 3 games so they will prop up that over game total for us and that's where my wager will be going tonight.

Pick: Wild & Rangers Over 6 Goals (-125 on BetRivers)
