Welcome into NHL player projections central for the season on Underdog Fantasy! Player props and projections are becoming one of the hottest growing things in hockey over the past few seasons and I have definitely taken notice as it adds yet another layer to a great game experience. Throughout this season you will find picks offered on the Underdog site that I find the most appealing as there are many to choose from so that's why I'm here to help you sift through the options.

For today's slate, we have 14 games on tap around the NHL and plenty of options for player props! I have highlighted 3 plays that I will be following tonight that includes 3 players around the league for the Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and New Jersey Devils! Good luck to everyone on the plays tonight, let's win some cheddar!

NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks December 27

Jason Robertson, Dallas Stars - HIGHER than 3.5 Shots on Goal

While we haven't seen the numbers of last year from Robertson we know that he loves playing the St. Louis Blues. In his young career Robertson has averaged 3.9 shots per game against the Blues and will get them tonight allowing 34 shots per game over the last month at home. Robertson has also topped this number of 3.5 shots in 3 of the last 4 games heading into tonight, I bet he goes higher again!

Joel Eriksson Ek, Minnesota Wild - HIGHER than 3.5 Shots on Goal

This game is going to be wild as both teams haven't played defense all year so must have my foot in the door of this matchup! Eriksson Ek will be my play as over the last 10 games he has gone higher than 3.5 shots in 7 games while averaging 4.3 shots on goal in the process. The Detroit Red Wings are allowing 35.8 shots per game over the past month on the road too so fire it up in Minnesota!

Jesper Bratt, New Jersey Devils - HIGHER than 2.5 Shots on Goal

Couldn't finish the Underdog NHL plays of the day without sending a play against the Columbus Blue Jackets! The Jackets are allowing 36.8 shots per game through the last 30 days on the road, the most in the NHL and Bratt has a great track record against them. He has topped 2.5 shots in 7 of 8 career games against the Jackets and overall has averaged 3.1 shots over the past 10 contests. You could easily play any Devils star on shots tonight but Bratt is my pick tonight.
