The NFL is back and that means the 2022 fantasy football season is in full swing. It’s also time to #PropUp at ThriveFantasy as we look for some NFL player props and bets ahead of NFL Week 1! If you are on the prowl for some NFL DFS advice or NFL betting picks content for Week 1 and you are playing over at ThriveFantasy, you have most certainly come to the right place. There are plenty of NFL player props on the board, but two in particular stand out to me as insane values. Plus, we get a fair amount of points with them, too! Interestingly enough, both player props involve AFC West quarterbacks that were unanimous top four or five players at the quarterback position in preseason fantasy football rankings. Be sure to check out the NFL weekly projections and the latest NFL Week 1 Odds before locking in any NFL daily fantasy lineups or NFL props.

NFL Player Props Week 1

Patrick MahomesOVER 281.5 Passing Yards

Dating back to 2019, Mahomes averages nearly 308 passing yards per game in contests where the over/under is at least 52 points. Many markets have this game in the 52-54 window, and this game figures to be one of the shootouts in this Week 1 slate. After the trade of Tyreek Hill this offseason, don’t you think that Mahomes and Co. want to silence all the haters that have been saying that this offense is doomed with the loss of Hill? Don’t you think the Chiefs want to showcase their new receivers (Marques Valdes-Scantling, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Skyy Moore) in a big way in the team’s season opener? I do, and Mahomes should clear this mark with ease in what should be a high-scoring affair. Get your 100 points here with the over.

Justin HerbertOVER 2.5 Passing TDs + Interceptions

Herbert has continuity heading into this season, and I’m surprised that Thrive is giving us 105 points for the over here, considering that Herbert surpassed this 2.5 TDs + INT line in seven of his final eight games last season. Herbert threw for three touchdowns in both games against Vegas last season, and his excellent supporting cast, highlighted by Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, should feast on this Las Vegas secondary. Also, Las Vegas added some weapons themselves, so could we see a little shootout here? Perhaps.
