The Captain

We have some solid options on both teams for the captain spot.

Connor McDavid - McDavid has four points in the first three games of this series while playing a lot of minutes. His ability to get points makes him as safe as anyone.

Leon Draisaitl - While Draisaitl hasn’t been great in this series yet, we know he is capable of taking over a game, and the Oilers might need that from him today.

Nathan MacKinnon - So far in this series, MacKinnon has been wonderfully consistent. He is giving you nearly five shots on goal every game, and adding points to that each game as well.

Mikko RantanenWhile Rantanen managed to only score one goal in the first two series, he has scored three goals in three games in this series and we are seeing lots of shots on goal to go with it.

The Rest

Cale MakarIf Makar explodes and takes over this game it wouldn’t be a big surprise as we know he is capable, but he continues to be point dependent as we haven’t seen a consistent number of shots or blocks from him in this series

Valari Nishushkin - NIshushkin scored twice in game three and added 5 shots as well. We haven’t see a lot of scoring from Nishushkin but he could be a player that steps up with Kadri out for the Avs.

Devon Toews- I wouldn’t have expected a two-point game from Toews with no shots or blocked shots, as those two categories are typically more of his game, but as noted many times all three categories are in his wheelhouse.

J.T. Compher - Surprisingly Compher has five goals in his last four games and with Kadri’s injury he could see more ice time.

Pavel Francouz - I certainly wouldn’t have expected Francouz to come in, in game two, and quiet the Oilers, but he has played extremely well for the Avs, and if you’re going to play a goalie tonight, he should be the play.

Evan Bouchard - Bouchard has consistently given us something each game whether it be shots, blocked shots or points, his dip in minutes in game three is a bit concerning, but I would expect him to be back up closer to 20 minutes today.

Zach HymanWe continue to see lots of great performances from Hyman. He has points in two of the three games in this series, and while we haven’t seen five shots from him since game one, we are still getting at least three shots still in each game which makes it easier for him to get to value.
