Chiefs vs. Seahawks DFS Picks & Preview: Sunday Night Football, 10/25
The biggest storyline is the matchup between Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker and his former team. Walker, who won Super Bowl MVP with Seattle last season, returns to Lumen Field after a spectacular start in Kansas City, leading the NFL with 665 rushing yards through five games. However, the Seahawks boast one of the league’s toughest run defenses, setting up a fascinating battle that could determine the outcome.
On the other side, Seattle will lean on wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who leads the league in receiving yards and touchdowns, as quarterback Sam Darnold looks to bounce back from recent turnovers.
Kansas City enters the contest undefeated at 5-0, while the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks are 3-3 and looking to snap a two-game losing streak. With the Chiefs' defensive pressure testing Darnold and Seattle's defense challenging Patrick Mahomes, the game could come down to turnovers and red-zone execution. Expect a hard-fought prime-time showdown, with Kansas City's experience and Seattle's home-field advantage making this one of the most intriguing games of the weekend.

NFL Weather: Chiefs vs. Seahawks, October 25th
The matchup is expected to feature cool, mostly cloudy conditions at Lumen Field in Seattle, with temperatures around 55 degrees at kickoff and falling into the low 50s by the end of the game. Light rain is possible (40–50%), and winds should remain light at 2–5 mph, with minimal impact on passing and kicking.
Chiefs vs. Seahawks Injuries: Sunday Night Football Week 7
The Chiefs will be without wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee), right tackle Jaylon Moore (concussion), and running back Brashard Smith (hamstring). Rice’s absence is a significant loss for Kansas City’s passing game, while Moore's absence creates another challenge for the offensive line in protecting quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Left tackle Josh Simmons has also been placed on injured reserve, further testing the team’s offensive-line depth. Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (knee) is listed as questionable.
Seattle will be without running back Zach Charbonnet (knee), who is still recovering from a torn ACL, and starting linebacker Drake Thomas (ankle). The Seahawks also have three important defensive players listed as questionable: safety Nick Emmanwori (hip), defensive end Demarcus Lawrence (knee), and outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (hip).
NFL Sunday Night Football DFS Picks: MVP/Captain
Kenneth Walker, RB, Kansas City Chiefs - DraftKings: $12,000 | FanDuel: $13,000
Through five games, Walker has recorded 665 rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns, 95 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns, making him one of the top fantasy options.
His return to Seattle adds a compelling storyline, but the matchup is challenging because the Seahawks have been tough against opposing running backs. His multi-touchdown potential provides significant upside despite the difficult spot and gives him a clear path to optimal lineups, even at his elevated salary.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Seattle Seahawks - DraftKings: $11,600 | FanDuel: $12,800
JSN has recorded more than 100 receiving yards in five of his first six games and has not finished with fewer than 76 yards. He has added seven touchdowns and comes with the highest ceiling on the slate.
The primary concern is Kansas City's defensive scheme and pass rush, as they have allowed the fourth-fewest yards to opposing wide receivers and have not allowed a touchdown to the position. However, Smith-Njigba's heavy target share gives him a strong floor even if Darnold struggles, and he can still produce a big fantasy performance through receptions and yards alone.
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs – DraftKings: $10,400 | FanDuel: $11,200
Mahomes is averaging 261.8 passing yards per game and has thrown for nine touchdowns while adding one on the ground. Walker has been the story of the Chiefs offense thus far, but Mahomes is also playing at a high level.
The biggest concern is Seattle’s defense, which can generate pressure and limit explosive plays, and Kansas City will be without Rice and both starting tackles. Mahomes’ production could depend on touchdown efficiency and whether Kansas City can overcome Seattle’s defensive pressure.
Xavier Worthy, WR, Kansas City Chiefs – DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $9,400
Worthy has recorded 21 receptions for 206 yards and one touchdown this season, and he has surpassed 70 receiving yards in each of his last two games with Rice sidelined. Worthy’s speed and big-play ability give him the potential to deliver a tournament-worthy score on relatively few touches, but his recent uptick in targets without Rice also gives him a solid floor.
Seattle is a brutal matchup, allowing the fewest yards per game to opposing wide receivers and only four touchdowns to the position in six games.
NFL Sunday Night Football DFS Picks: Core Plays
Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $9,400 | FanDuel: $10,200
Darnold has thrown a whopping seven interceptions in his last four games and faces a tough test against the Kansas City defense. He is best reserved as a Flex option given the tough matchup, but JSN's presence gives him upside if he can fix his turnover issues.
The matchup doesn't help Darnold's case. Kansas City has allowed the second-fewest passing touchdowns per game and the ninth-fewest passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks.
Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs – DraftKings: $8,000 | FanDuel: $8,200
Kelce has recorded 20 receptions for 299 yards and two touchdowns on 29 targets through five games this season, but he surprisingly hasn't seen a bump in targets with Rice out of the lineup.
Seattle has been the toughest matchup in football for opposing tight ends, allowing just 25.5 yards per game and two total touchdowns to the position through six weeks.
Emanuel Wilson, RB, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $8,800
Wilson has recorded at least 20 carries in three of Seattle’s last five games, totaling 300 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on 85 carries over that span, while adding five receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. He is set to lead Seattle's backfield for at least another week with Charbonnet still out.
The main concern is that Kansas City's defense has been dominant against opposing running backs, ranking third in EPA/rush and eighth in rush DVOA. They have allowed the second-fewest yards per game to running backs and surrendered just three touchdowns in five games to the position.
NFL Sunday Night Football DFS Picks: Mid-Tier Plays
Rashid Shaheed, WR, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $7,600
Through six games, Shaheed has recorded 14 receptions for 162 yards on 27 targets, along with 39 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. His rushing production and additional touchdown equity from returns help slightly, but it is still a hefty price tag.
On the plus side, he earned his highest target share since Week 2 in their last game against Denver, despite playing less than 50% of the snaps.
Cooper Kupp, WR, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $7,200
Through six games, Kupp has recorded 16 receptions for 179 yards and one touchdown on 25 targets, but his production has been inconsistent, with just three catches combined in Weeks 4 and 5 before bouncing back with five receptions for 50 yards against Denver in Week 6. Kupp posted his season-high target share (21.7%) in that game, but his ceiling remains limited.
AJ Barner, TE, Seattle Seahawks– DraftKings: $4,600 | FanDuel: $5,200
Barner is one of the more appealing value options on the slate. He's played nearly 90% of Seattle's snaps, though he hasn't earned targets consistently week to week.
The matchup is the selling point. Kansas City has been a very good defense through five games, but they are most vulnerable to tight ends. They have allowed 366 yards and four touchdowns to the position through five games.
NFL Sunday Night Football DFS Picks: Value Plays
George Holani, RB, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $4,400
With Charbonnet ruled out, Holani is expected to remain Seattle’s No. 2 running back behind Wilson, giving him some opportunity for carries and receiving work. However, Holani has produced just 97 rushing yards and one touchdown on 31 carries through six games, while adding 11 receptions for 76 yards, so his role has not yet translated into consistent fantasy production.
To make things worse, Velus Jones saw some work out of the backfield on passing downs last week. Holani still played on a season-high 57% of snaps, but the usage wasn't there as he saw just five carries and zero targets.
Jalen Royals, WR, Kansas City Chiefs – DraftKings: $3,400 | FanDuel: $5,600
With Rice ruled out again, Royals has a chance to see more playing time alongside Worthy. He played 74% of Kansas City's offensive snaps last week against the Chargers, running the second-most routes among Chiefs wide receivers, but managed just two receptions for 24 yards on four targets.
Royals draws a tough matchup this week, but if he maintains the same role from last game, he is a viable dart throw in tournaments.
Andrew Armstrong, WR, Kansas City Chiefs – DraftKings: $2,000 | FanDuel: $2,800
Armstrong played 42 offensive snaps (68.9%) in his NFL debut against the Chargers, running ahead of fifth-round rookie Cyrus Allen. He recorded one reception for 13 yards on two targets, and the Chiefs subsequently signed him to the active roster.
If he is sustains that level of playing time and is able to earn a few more targets, he could be a difference maker in tournaments.
SNF DFS Picks: Kickers & D/ST
Harrison Butker has converted 10 of 13 field-goal attempts (76.9%) and 14 of 15 extra-point attempts (93.3%). His longest made field goal is 50 yards, and he recently made three field goals against the Chargers, connecting from 44, 50, and 30 yards, while missing one field goal and one extra point.
Jason Myers has converted 12 of 13 field-goal attempts (92.3%) and 14 of 15 extra-point attempts (93.3%), including all three of his attempts from 50 yards or longer. His only missed field goal came against Denver, when he went 2-for-3, making kicks from 55 and 34 yards.
Seattle D/ST enters the matchup with impressive results, including the fewest total yards allowed per game (237.3) and the fewest passing yards allowed (141.3), while leading the NFL with 11 takeaways. KC is also missing its top wide receiver and two starting tackles, which could hurt its offensive production and its ability to limit pressure.
Chiefs D/ST is an intriguing option when you factor in Darnold’s recent tendency to throw interceptions. Darnold has thrown seven interceptions in his last four appearances. This turnover trend gives Kansas City additional upside through interceptions and defensive touchdowns, particularly if the Chiefs can pressure Darnold into hurried throws.
