Welcome to the 2026 NFL DFS Week 8 RB Coach article! The NFL DFS RB coach was back on track as seven of our nine suggested NFL DFS RB picks delivered solid returns last week. However, the Week 8 NFL DFS RB rankings are loaded with NFL DFS RBs carrying questionable tags and potential matchups to avoid. We’ll cut through the uncertainty and identify Week 8 NFL DFS RB picks that can keep our momentum rolling and help you earn some cash!!

NFL DFS Week 8 RB Coach for FanDuel and DraftKings Fantasy

The Week 8 NFL DFS RB rankings have James Cook as the fourth most expensive NFL DFS RB ($7,900) on the DraftKings (DK) platform. That’s a $500 increase from his Week 6 salary. He’s the fourth most expensive NFL DFS RB ($8,400) on the FanDuel (FD) platform. His FD salary has remained steady over his last two games. Despite being a chalk play, Cook III has a tough Week 8 matchup against the Ravens, who’ve given up the third fewest PPR fantasy points per game (FPPG) to NFL DFS RBs.

The Ravens kept Chase Brown in check last week, and as he continues to underachieve,  his DK DFS salary is just $6,300 (it’s been as high as $7,100 this season). Brown’s FD DFS salary has been as high as $8,000 this season, but his Week 8 salary is a season low of $7,100. The Bengals are heavy favorites against the Titans, his Week 8 opponent. With Brown having played 75.5% of the Bengals’ offensive snaps in Week 7 and still a big part of the Bengals’ offense, this could be the week where he breaks out of his slump.

NFL Week 8 Running Backs

The key takeaway from having the Saints, Giants, Texans, and 49ers on a bye in Week 8 is that Christian McCaffrey, an NFL DFS RB mainstay, will have an extra week to recover from the mild hamstring strain he sustained in Week 7.

Jets NFL DFS RBs have a very good matchup against the Raiders in Week 8, and Braelon Allen has done a good job of filling in for the injured Breece Hall since Week 3. Both Allen and Hall have inexpensive salaries on DK and FD and have the potential to be useful Week 8 NFL DFS RBs if they play the majority of offensive snaps this week. Monitor Hall’s progress as game time approaches.

In that same game, Ashton Jeanty has a favorable matchup against the Jets, but even though he wasn’t on the Raiders’ Week 7 injury report, he only had eight carries last week. Jeanty is said to be playing through an ankle injury, and he’s averaging just over nine carries per game over the last three weeks. He is, however, averaging just under five catches per game this season, and his relatively low DK ($6,700) salary does take the risk of making him a Week 8 NFL DFS RB pick into account.

The Cowboys have given up just over 4.8 YPC to NFL DFS RBs over the past three weeks, but with the Cardinals' backfield in flux, unfortunately we can’t take advantage of the favorable matchup.

NFL DFS RB Top Tier Picks for Week 8

Kyren Williams, Rams – DraftKings: $7,500 | FanDuel: $7,600

For the second straight week, two RBs with the last name of Williams headline our top-tier NFL DFS RB picks. Sometimes it pays to stick with what works. Kyren Williams delivered in Week 7 as he rushed for 99 yards (6.2 YPC) and scored a TD against the Raiders. Some might worry about Blake Corum’s 17 carries (one more than Williams had last week but Williams played 51% of the Rams’ offensive snaps compared to 44% for Corum. Williams will almost certainly get his usual 15-plus carries against the Chargers in Week 8. The Chargers are coming off a bye in Week 7, but in their last three games they gave up 4.84 YPC and three TDs to NFL DFS RBs.

Javonte Williams, Cowboys – DraftKings: $7,300 | FanDuel: $7,500

Williams had his best game of the season against the Eagles last week, rushing for 155 yards (6.2 YPC), and he also scored his ninth TD of the season. He has scored at least one TD in six of his seven games this season and leads all NFL DFS RBs with seven TDs from inside the five-yard line. He takes on the Cardinals, who have given up 4.96 YPC and five total TDs to NFL DFS RBs over their last three games.

NFL DFS RB Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 8

Bucky Irving, Buccaneers – DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,300

Irving is coming off a big Week 7 and has another good matchup in Week 8 against the Falcons. NFL DFS RBs have rushed for 4.90 YPC and scored seven total TDs in their last three games against the Falcons. The Falcons have also given up the most catches (20) and the highest average fantasy points per game (FPPG) (38.7) to NFL DFS RBs as well.

Jaylen Warren, Steelers – DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,400

Warren continues to hold onto his role as the Steelers’ lead NFL DFS RB. As he did in Week 7, Warren played significantly more snaps (40) than Rico Dowdle (28). With just two TDs this season, Warren has had trouble finding the end zone, but he is averaging 5.5 YPC. He takes on the Browns in Week 8, and they’ve given up 4.50 YPC and four TDs to NFL DFS RBs in their last five games. In his Week 4 matchup against the Browns, Warren averaged 5.5 YPC and scored 15.6 and 14.1 DK and FD points, respectively.

NFL Week 8 DFS RB Value Picks

Josh Jacobs, Packers – DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $7,000

It didn’t take long for Jacobs to reclaim his role as the Packers’ lead NFL DFS RB. Despite only rushing for 33 yards (3.3 YPC) in his Week 7 season debut, Jacobs caught five of his seven targets and scored a receiving TD. He has a favorable home matchup against the Panthers in Week 8. They’ve allowed NFL DFS RBs to rush for 5.21 YPC this season and given up the second most rushing TDs (9) to the position as well.

Bhayshul Tuten, Jaguars – DraftKings: $5,900 | FanDuel: $6,900

Tuten has fresh legs coming off his bye week and a favorable matchup against the Colts, who, as an organization, have thrown in the towel on their 2026 season. The Colts have been better against the run of late, but for the season they’ve given up 4.49 YPC and six TDs in seven games against NFL DFS RBs. Tuten is an elusive and explosive runner who has become a bigger part of the Jaguars’ offense as the season has progressed. He is a Week 8 NFL DFS RB pick who can provide a good return on investment.

NFL DFS RB Fades for Week 8

Derrick Henry, Ravens – DraftKings: $7,200 | FanDuel: $8,500

Despite having a favorable matchup against the Bills, we can’t ignore the fact that Henry is averaging 3.4 YPC in his last five games. He also hasn’t scored a TD in his last two games, and with defenses not having to worry about QB Lamar Jackson running the ball, they’ve been keying in on Henry at the line of scrimmage. Some blame his recent slump on his offensive line, some point to his age (he’ll be 33 in January), and while we probably shouldn’t count him out just yet, it’s hard to justify using him as a Week 8 NFL DFS RB.

NFL Week 8 RB Play of the Week

Kenneth Walker, Chiefs – DraftKings: $8,800 | FanDuel: $9,000

Walker III is coming off his worst game of the season and should be considered a good bounce-back candidate and a safe Week 8 NFL DFS RB pick. In Week 7, he rushed for just 36 yards (2.6 YPC) against a stout Seahawks run defense. He takes on the Broncos in Week 8, and while they’ve been better against the run lately, they’ve given up 4.42 YPC and the seventh most (32) catches to NFL DFS RBs this season. In his Week 1 matchup against the Broncos, Walker III rushed for 173 yards (7.5 YPC) and added another 18 receiving yards. He also scored a rushing and a receiving TD in that game.
