NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach: Kyren Williams, Josh Jacobs, Ashton Jeanty
Welcome to the NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach article!! I had a pretty good Week 5, but there’s always room for improvement. Jahmyr Gibbs, Cam Skattebo, Javonte Williams, Quinshon Judkins, and De’Von Achane all had modestly productive Week 5’s. I’ll probably stay away from Derrick Henry for a while, and Travis Etienne had a disappointing Week 5 as well. There are, however, plenty of NFL DFS RBs that should be able to help you win some cash this week! Let's take a broad view of the position this week before getting into my favorite plays in the NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach.Â

NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach for FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy
We’ve got just two teams on a bye in Week 6 (Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans), so we’ve got plenty of good NFL DFS RB options to use in our DFS lineups this week.Â
If you’re able to pay up for top-tier NFL DFS RBs, there are several who have good matchups, including Jonathan Taylor, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Bijan Robinson. If you’re looking to spend more of your DFS salary on other positions, I’ve highlighted two NFL DFS RBs on the lower end of the top-tier that could give you a bang for your buck based on their DFS salaries.
Carolina Panthers NFL DFS RB Rico Dowdle, who was playing in place of an injured Chuba Hubbard (calf), had his coming-out party against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5. Dowdle rushed for 206 yards on 23 carries (9.0 YPC) and caught three passes for 28 yards. Panthers NFL DFS RBs have a good Week 6 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. As this article is being written, Hubbard’s Week 6 status is not yet known. If Hubbard is out, Dowdle would make a nice, inexpensive ($5,800 DK, $6,600 FD) NFL DFS RB option for Week 6.
NFL Week 6 Running Backs
I’d love to target the Miami Dolphins this week. Their rush defense gave up Dowdle’s 206 rushing yards. Unfortunately, the Los Angeles Chargers are playing the Dolphins in Week 6. With Omarion Hampton placed on IR, I’m not confident that either Hassan Haskins or Kimani Vidal will play enough reps to make either NFL DFS RB worth starting this week. Â
I’d also love to start Saquon Barkley against my New York Giants, who are giving up 5.61 YPC to NFL DFS RBs this season. Barkley is dealing with a knee injury, and even though the Eagles are saying that he’ll be ready for Thursday night's matchup, his DFS salary is still too high ($7,600 DK, $8,800 FD) for me to risk putting him in my DFS lineups.
I was going to squeeze Cleveland Browns RB Quinshon Judkins into the mid-tier part of this article. He rushed for a career-high 110 yards in Week 5, and his $5900 DK salary is affordable, but I’m not loving his matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. I hope I don’t regret not recommending him, but I’m going to trust my gut on this one.

NFL DFS RB Top Tier Picks For Week 6
Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers
DraftKings: $7,300 | FanDuel: $8,700
If you are a regular reader of this column, you know I like to use Jacobs when he plays at home at Lambeau Field. Since Jacobs signed with the Packers before the 2024 season, he’s averaging 4.46 YPC when playing at home and 3.91 YPC when he plays on the road. His Week 6 opponent, the Cincinnati Bengals, continues to be very friendly to NFL DFS RBs. The Bengals are giving up the second-most rushing yards (613) and fantasy points per game (31) to NFL DFS RBs. Jacobs is in line for a big Week 6.
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Las Vegas Raiders
DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $8,000
Jeanty is not letting the poor play of the Raiders’ offensive line stop him from producing like an NFL DFS RB stud of late. In Jeanty’s first three games, he averaged just 3.1 YPC. In his last two games, Jeanty is averaging 5.9 YPC, and he has become more involved in the Raiders’ passing attack. Jeanty takes on the Tennessee Titans in Week 6, who have given up the most total TDs (9) to NFL DFS RBs this season, as well as 5.15 YPC to the position.

NFL DFS RB Mid-Tier Picks For Week 6
Javonte Williams, RB, Dallas Cowboys
DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,800
I know I recommended Williams last week, but if it works, it works. Williams has another good matchup in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers, who are giving up 4.77 YPC to NFL DFS RBs. Just to remind you how good Williams has been this season, he’s averaging 5.7 YPC, and he has six total TDs in his first five games.Â
Rachaad White, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $6,800
White was the Buccaneers’ primary NFL DFS RB in Week 5 with Bucky Irving out due to shoulder and foot injuries. He played 49 snaps compared to Sean Tucker’s 13, and with Irving expected to miss at least one more game, and possibly more, White will probably be heavily involved in the Bucs offense in Week 6. White only rushed for 2.9 YPC in Week 5, but he did score two TDs, and he takes on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6. The 49ers are yielding 4.24 YPC and the fourth most receptions (27) to NFL DFS RBs this season.

NFL Week 6 DFS RB Value Picks
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Washington Commanders
DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $6,200
Croskey-Merritt had his long-awaited 2025 breakout game in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He rushed for 111 yards on 14 carries (7.9 YPC) and scored two TDs. It looks like he’s wrestled the Commanders’ RB1 spot away from Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNichols, and with a Monday night matchup against the Chicago Bears, it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Bears are giving up 6.05 YPC and the third most fantasy points per game in PPR scoring (30.9) to NFL DFS RBs this season.Â
J.K. Dobbins, RB, Denver Broncos
DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $6,600
Dobbins has quietly been one of the most productive and affordable NFL DFS RBs this season. He’s averaging over 15 fantasy points per game and 14 fantasy points per game in DraftKings and FanDuel platforms, respectively. He’s taking on the New York Jets in London this Sunday. The Jets have given up six TDs and 4.29 YPC to NFL DFS RBs this season. With the Broncos probably jumping out to an early big lead, the game script will likely call for Dobbins to run the ball a lot in the second half of this game.Â

Â
NFL DFS Week 6 RB Play of the WeekÂ
Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams
DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $8,400Â
Williams has a great matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6. The Ravens seem to have about 99 problems these days, and defending against the run must be close to the top of that list. Through five games, the Ravens are giving up the most fantasy points per game (31.1) in PPR scoring. It’s been a quiet start to the season for Williams, but he’s averaging 4.5 YPC, and in Week 5, he caught eight passes out of the backfield, two of which went for TDs. Some have worried that Blake Corum was slowly infringing on Williams’ status as the Rams’ RB1, but Williams played over 91% of the team’s offensive snaps, so that should not be a concern.
