Welcome to Week 15 of the NFL season and the next edition DFS RB Coach! The struggles continued into this week unfortunately, as I didn’t hit on the right backs in Week 14. Joe Mixon (21.5 points) was a good play, but the rest left a lot to be desired and even CMC snapped his streak of 20+ games, so it was just overall a downer. Enough about last week, let’s look to bounce back and crush it in Week 15. Overall, the season numbers still look great, but we are due for a bigger week. This is the week we get back on track with a stacked RB coach though, I can feel it in my bones! It’s time to start putting those DraftKings and FanDuel lineups together and hit the big paydays! Let’s dive into my favorite RB plays!

Year to date RB Coach stats:

Week 15 Picks

NFL DFS RB Top Plays

Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers

CMC failed to score 20+ for the first time in a while, but with the 100+ yard bonus, he still managed to crack out 19.3 points on DK. He wasn’t involved in the passing game for some reason and didn’t find the end zone like he normally does, so this game could have been a monster game but it just didn’t work out that way. I feel like it’s a good idea to go back to the well with him this week though. He faced Arizona earlier this season and went bananas, scoring 51.7 dk points! He rushed 20 times for 106 yards and THREE touchdowns while catching SEVEN passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Will he do that again? Obviously not (probably), but with the floor and ceiling that he provides, it makes a ton of sense to give him a go in this spot.

NFL DFS RB Mid-Tier Plays

Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams

Williams feels pretty high-priced to be considered mid-tier (and the third most expensive back on DK), but he’s nearly 2k cheaper than CMC and is over 1k cheaper than Kamara, so this seems to be the more accurate place for him. He is averaging 21.8 dk ppg this year, which is second only behind CMC. He is averaging 26 dk ppg over his last four games and continues to be an absolute workhorse for the Rams as he has had at least 20 carries in three of his past four and has at least four targets in three straight. This matchup against the Commanders is a good one and there is really nothing to not like about Williams as we head into this Week 15 slate.

Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If you followed the RB Coach this season, you know White has been my guy. Someone I look to play on a regular basis and he seems to just always come through with good weeks. Even in a tough matchup against the Falcons last week, White still managed to rack up 24.5 dk points and rush for over 100 yards. He has rushed for at least 84 yards in three straight games and continues to excel as a pass-catcher as well. He has scored at least 16.0 dk points in SEVEN STRAIGHT games, which is very impressive and shows the kind of floor that he provides. His price is going up consistently these days, but I do like this matchup against the Packers and think we see another strong game from the second year back.

Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

Bijan has been a thorn in my side this year with poor times of using him and strong weeks when fading, so hopefully that trend gets snapped this week. It’s hard to not like him in this great spot against the Panthers, which has consistently ranked as one of the best spots for backs this year. He also already performed well against them, scoring over 20 points against them in Week 1. His usage has been up lately and he has at least five targets in three straight games, while also finding the end zone four times in his past four games. He is a bit more expensive than I would like him to be, but he feels like a pretty safe bet to at least have a solid game this week.

NFL DFS RB Value Plays

Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans

Spears makes his RB Coach debut for me this week and while he still operates as a backup, there is a lot to like. He had a nice 12.8 point game in Week 13 and followed that up with an even bigger Week 14 in which he had six receptions on eight targets for 89 yards to finish with 17.9 dk points (a season-high). He has 14 targets in the passing game over the last two games to go along with 23 carries, so he is defineitly seeing a bigger workload of late. This matchup against the Texans ranks as a middle of the pack matchup and if anything, the Titans will likely be trailing, which would bode well for Spears as the pass-catching back.

NFL DFS RB Fades

James Cook, Buffalo Bills

Cook is coming off his BEST game of the season, scoring 25.1 dk points against the Chiefs. He has been playing well lately with 16+ points in four straight, so how does any of this add up to him being a fade for me this week? Well, strictly matchup based as the Cowboys are the WORST matchup in the entire league for running backs this season. Cook hasn’t shown big ceilings this year with only two games north of 20 dk points, so it is simply not worth the risk to play him in such a tough spot. Playing him would basically be hoping for him to score 15 ish points this week and he isn’t even that cheap, so there really is no logic to having him in your lineups for Week 15 DFS contests.
