NFL DFS Week 11 RB Coach: Christian McCaffrey, Chase Brown, Woody Marks
Welcome to the Week 11 NFL DFS RB Coach article!! Thankfully, I had a nice bounce back in Week 10. De’Von Achane and Jahmyr Gibbs had monster games, and Josh Jacobs was one of the few bright spots of an offensive Monday night offensive snooze fest.Â
Rico Dowdle had a productive Week 10, but it was nothing like the tremendous weeks he had while wasting away on our bench because the Carolina Panthers hadn’t yet committed to using him as their primary NFL DFS RB.Â
James Cook, although hampered by an ankle injury, was able to grind out a double-digit NFL DFS fantasy points Week 10 performance, and you got good production for a bargain basement NFL DFS salary from Jaylen Warren.Â
NFL Week 11 NFL DFS RBs
The Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints are the only two teams on a bye in Week 11. Season-long fantasy football managers are going to have to fill a huge hole without Jonathan Taylor in their starting lineups, but the beauty of setting up NFL DFS lineups is that we have a lot of other NFL DFS RBs who can take his place.Â
As for my Week 11 strategy, I’m not willing to pay a high-tier NFL DFS salary for Saquon Barkley. His offensive snaps played rate of 64.8 over his last two games is much lower than his 81.9 rate in his first seven games. My guess is that he’s playing through an underlying injury, possibly his groin, and that’s limiting his time on the field.
Breece Hall squeezed out a productive Week 10 performance against the Cleveland Browns, but they’re still giving up the fewest PPR fantasy points per game (16.2) to NFL DFS RBs this season. I’m avoiding using Baltimore Ravens NFL DFS RB Derrick Henry against the Browns this week. I will look to use him in future NFL DFS lineups, but since he has a tough matchup and he only rushed for 23 yards (2.1 YPC) against the Browns in Week 2, I’ll probably start him in my season-long leagues, but not in DFS. Â
Speaking of the Browns, Quinshon Judkins appears to have a good matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Based on season-long stats, the Ravens have been very kind to NFL DFS RBs. However, over the past three weeks, the Ravens' run defense has improved greatly, so I’ll be watching Judkins from the sidelines this week.
I’m very tempted to use Aaron Jones in DFS this week. His $5,500 DraftKings salary is enticing, and he did play a season-high 70.8% of the Minnesota Vikings’ offensive snaps last week, but the Vikes have been known to change their RB usage strategy from week to week. With Jordan Mason still lurking in the background, I’ll pass on using Jones Sr. in Week 11.Â
It sounds like Denver Broncos NFL DFS RB J.K. Dobbins is heading for the IR. Based on that, I’d love to use RJ Harvey this week, but I don’t like his Week 11 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, who have been tough on NFL DFS RBs this season.
There are, of course, several NFL DFS RBs who have Week 11 matchups against run defenses that aren’t tough against the RB position. Here are some of my favorites that I believe can help you win some cash in Week 11!

NFL DFS RB Picks For Week 11
Christian McCaffrey, RB, San Francisco 49ers
DraftKings: $9,000 | FanDuel: $10,000
I’ve used the term matchup proof in this column at times this season, and McCaffrey is a perfect example of the definition of the term. He is averaging the second-highest PPR fantasy points per game (24.9) this season, behind only Jonathan Taylor. McCaffrey has scored double-digit PPR fantasy points in every game except for Week 8 against the Houston Texans. McCaffrey may only be averaging 3.5 YPC this season, but his 69 receptions are the second most among RBs, WRs, and TEs.Â
De’Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins
DraftKings: $8,100 | FanDuel: $8,800
I like to try to mix up my recommendations from week to week, but if a player has a good matchup in consecutive weeks, I have no problem including them in this column multiple times. Achane was in my column last week, and he’s back again this week. Achane has been a very good NFL DFS RB this season, and he has a favorable matchup against the Washington Commanders in Week 11. Achane is averaging 5.5 YPC this season, and over his past two games, that average is a gaudy 6.7. He’s also very good at catching the ball out of the backfield. He has six receptions in each of his last two games. The Commanders have given up the fourth most rushing yards (1076) to NFL DFS RBs this season.
Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers
DraftKings: $7,800 | FanDuel: $9,100
It looks like Jacobs has been able to put his recent injury (calf) issues aside, and he did so just in time for him to have a big game against my reeling New York Giants. The Giants have given up the third-highest average PPR fantasy points per game (27.0) to NFL DFS RBs this season and just over 6.0 YPC to the position in their last five games.
Rico Dowdle, RB, Carolina PanthersÂ
DraftKings: $6,800 | FanDuel: $8,100
I’m taking advantage of the fact that Dowdle is the Panthers’ primary NFL DFS RB and that he has a good matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons were obliterated by Jonathan Taylor in Week 10, but they’ve been getting hammered by NFL DFS RBs all season long. The Falcons have given up the fourth-highest average PPR fantasy points per game to NFL DFS RBs this season (26.8).

Jaylen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $7,000
Mike Tomlin suggested that Warren’s fantasy production is directly tied to the Steelers’ ability to convert third downs.  With the Bengals owning one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, the Steelers should be able to convert plenty of third downs in Week 11. The Bengals are letting opponents convert third downs at the third-highest rate in football. They’re also giving up the most PPR fantasy points per game and the most rushing yards to NFL DFS RBs this season.
Chase Brown, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $7,200
Overall, the Week 11 Steelers-Bengals matchup should be a good one for NFL DFS RBs. I already predicted that Warren would have a big day against the Bengals, but I think Brown should also have an opportunity to have a big Week 11 as well. Brown has been coming on of late, averaging 6.0 YPC in his last four games, and he also had an eight-catch performance in Week 10. He’s also had good success against the Steelers. Brown is averaging 7.74 YPC in his last two games against the Steelers, who have given up 4.42 YPC to NFL DFS RBs in their last five games
Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans
DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $6,300
Based on his usage in Week 10, it looks like Marks is the Texans’ primary NFL DFS RB. He played 80% of the Texans’ offensive snaps last week, and if that rate continues, look for him to have a big Week 11 against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are giving up 4.92 YPC and the fifth-highest PPR fantasy points per game to NFL DFS RBs this season.
