NFL Week 6 Picks Straight Up & Odds For All 15 Games

NFL Week 6 Picks Straight Up: Jacksonville Jaguars ML (-112 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

This is the battle of two teams that are ahead of their respective timelines, in my opinion. Entering the season, I thought both teams had bright futures, but were missing some key pieces on the offensive lines or on their defenses. Now, both teams are sitting with winning records, and this game has become must-see television.

This game is not the easiest one to pick, but with the resiliency from the Jaguars that we saw against the Chiefs last week, along with an impressive defense, and a passing game that feels like it is finally starting to complement the run game, I think I have to lean toward the Jags here. 

On the other side, the Seahawks are coming off a heartbreaking thriller against the Buccaneers that could have gone either way. Unfortunately for the Seawhawks, though, they came away from that game incredibly banged up, with impact players like Devon Witherspoon, Ernest Jones, and Julian Love, among others, all missing practice. This Seahawks team has been incredibly impressive, but the defense has been worse against the pass than against the run thus far this year. Add in a banged-up secondary against an ever-improving passing attack on the other side, and I think I have to take the Jaguars at home to win. 

 

 

 

NFL Week 6 Picks Straight Up: New England Patriots ML (-190 at BetMGM Sportsbook)

The New England Patriots are entering this game off a statement win, forcing the division rival Buffalo Bills to take their first loss of the season on primetime. The New Orleans Saints are coming off a statement win of their own, winning their first game of the season. Which win speaks more about their respective teams, though? I think I am going to have to take the win over the Super Bowl favorites rather than a win over the one-win Giants without their best offensive weapon.

The Saints have been a feisty team all season, but they are lacking an X-factor. All of their team ranks are middle of the pack or lower, Alvin Kamara is getting fewer and fewer touches every game, and there is speculation that the Saints could be having a fire sale at the trade deadline. For the Patriots, though, vibes could not be any better. Drake Maye is looking like he is the long-term answer at quarterback, orchestrating the offense at an extremely high level both pre- and post-snap. The defense is also coming off of an incredibly impressive outing, forcing three turnovers and holding the Bills to 20 points. I think getting this up and coming Patriots team at -190 is a great value, and I think this is an absolute lock of a pick.
