NFL Week 10 Picks Against The Spread: Carolina Panthers -5.5 (-108 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
Last week, I picked the Rams spread against the Saints, despite the fact that it was set at a monstrous 13.5 points. Yet, the Rams covered comfortably, with a 34-10 victory. Are the Carolina Panthers the same caliber of team as the Rams? Well, no, but they are a five-win team coming off an impressive upset over the Super Bowl-contending Green Bay Packers. Now, they get a much lesser challenge, facing off against a one-win Saints team that could not get their rookie quarterback going, nor could they get the run game going to support him. With nothing going on the offensive side of the ball and a defense giving up 27 points per game, I don't understand why the spread isn't at least seven points. Outside of the fact that this is a divisional matchup, which could lead to surprising results, I don't see a world where the Panthers do not cover the 5.5 points. I am taking the Panthers to win with confidence.
NFL Week 10 Picks Against The Spread: Arizona Cardinals +6.5 (+100 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
Recently, the Seattle Seahawks have looked like one of, if not the best, teams in football. We knew the defense was going to be good under head coach Mike Macdonald, but the offense has really started to gel, led by Sam Darnold. Now, after acquiring Rashid Shaheed from the Saints to reunite with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, the rest of the NFC should be scared. So you might be reading this thinking, “Bryan, you're literally taking the Cardinals at +6.5… why?” Well, there is something about this Jacoby Brissett-led Cardinals team…
Since taking over as the starting quarterback, Brissett and the Arizona Cardinals are averaging almost six more points per game. In their last matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, they also had the debut of their 2025 first-round pick, Walter Nolan III, who made an impact on almost every single play he was on the field. He helped hold the explosive Dallas Cowboys offense to a season low of 10 offensive points (the Cowboys' special teams unit blocked a punt for a touchdown to produce their other seven points). These two teams already met once this season, which led to a three-point win for the Seahawks that came down to the wire. This is not the same Cardinals team that they will be facing this time around, so the fact that we are getting a touchdown cushion at plus money is a steal in my eyes.
