Now that the week is almost finished, you should have a pretty good idea as to what direction you want to take for your NFL Week 4 DFS contests. We still have a few Saturday NFL practice reports to go through and there will likely be some late NFL news that affects some of our choices, but your core plan should be formulated by now and building winning DFS lineups shouldn't be a problem. Throughout all of the content on the site and everything you've probably heard on our SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio show, you should know where you want to pay up, which bargains you want to explore and how you want to build both your cash game and GPP tournament lineups. While there are countless paths to take, the NFL Week 4 DFS Playbook should help lead you down the right ones for this week.

Looking back to last week, there was one key thing I wish I did a better job of when constructing some of my lineups. You never want to overload your lineup too much with 4pm ET players. We talk about late-game hammer all the time and I am very much for that, but if you have too many late-game players and those players are too chalky, you're not going to see a whole lot of movement and if you don't have a solid base from the early window of games, it becomes next to impossible to catch up.

Last week, everyone was loaded up on the Chicago Bears/Dallas Cowboys game and rightfully so. It had one of the highest game totals and we knew that both defenses were struggling. But we also liked using players from the San Francisco 49ers/Arizona Cardinals game and let's not forget how eager we all were to use a variety of Seattle Seahawks in their matchup against the lowly New Orleans Saints. We had a ton of exposure to the late games in some of our lineups and when that happens, if you don't have players who hit in the early window, your cash lineups are usually sunk with so many people all on the same plays.

This week, we could be looking at a very similar occurrence if we aren't careful. The Indianapolis Colts/Los Angeles Rams game has the highest point total on the slate, we know everyone wants to be invested in the Kansas City Chiefs/Baltimore Ravens game and there are numerous plays we like as the Bears head to Sin City to face the Las Vegas Raiders. We are going to have to be extremely mindful with how we build our lineups to ensure we don't get caught like some of our lineups did last week.

That all being said, let's get to the NFL DFS Week 4 Playbook.

As a reminder, all of our content, our tools and everything else that has made us the leading site for all of your fantasy football needs – seasonal and daily – are here and even more accessible.

We have also made some enhancements to our NFL tools. We continue to crunch the numbers and tweak our algorithms so that our daily fantasy football projections are the best in the industry and that, in turn, has improved things like our Lineup Generator/DFS Optimizer and our NFL DFS Ownership Projections. Again, all right here on one site for your convenience.

If you are new to the #FAmily, welcome! All the aforementioned tools are, obviously, at your disposal as well, but please allow me to point you towards more of the content and tools we provide to help you crush your DFS contests each week. It also makes for a nice introduction to our DFS team.

In addition to the positional coaches, you also have plenty of other research content to use like the weekly DFS Watch List, where I provide you with a daily-updated list of players I am looking at throughout the week. You will also want to watch our weekly NFL DFS Show with me and Jon Impemba as we break down every position, highlight our favorite plays, offer a core group of players to build around and then drop an example lineup into out NFL DFS channel on Discord.

For those looking for the DFS bargains, you'll see my weekly DFS Dart Board as well as Impemba's Value Plays video. And for those looking to separate themselves from the herd, we also have our Contrarian Plays video too.

Need more data? Craving more research? Many of our seasonal fantasy football articles also double as kick-ass DFS research. You have the WR/CB Match-Up Report from Drew Scott, full game previews from Mark Lammey and the team, Coop's Target Report and all of our fantasy football tools from snap counts to red zone touches.

That should cover it. Now let's get to the NFL Week 4 DFS Playbook picks!
