NFL DFS Week 2 Picks, Projections & Playbook For DraftKings & FanDuel
Published: Sep 14, 2025
NFL Week 2 DFS is here and we're ready to get back into the lab and start cooking up some top picks and winning DFS lineups. Last week may have been a mixed bag o results, but we took away from it, a world of knowledge. Question marks developed with some backfield splits – we're looking at you Seattle and Minnesota – but we also saw things like target pecking orders develop, coaching scheme tendencies and the appearance of defensive holes we're ready to drive a boat through this week. I've spent the last six days watching video and studying things like snap counts, routes run and overall usage and feel very strongly about the NFL Week 2 DFS Playbook.
The most important thing to remember is that, no matter how your fantasy football teams or your DFS lineups are doing, you are learning things from week to week. If you've been following me on social media or listened to the variety of shows on the Fantasy Alarm YouTube page or SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, then you've heard where a lot of my focus has been – exploiting the holes in the defensive coverage. Now, obviously, one game makes for a lousy sample size, especially when it's Week 1, but when you combine the data from the first week with what we knew about teams from last year and how their offseason went, we can glean enough information to start targeting those holes.
The key example I used culminated on Thursday Night Football when Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft racked up 124 yards and a touchdown on six catches against the Washington Commanders. If you recall from last season, the Commanders were the seventh-worst team against the tight end, according to DVOA and the key additions on defense were LB Vonn Miller who is a pass-rusher and S Will Harris whose coverage grades from Pro Football Focus put him at “mediocre at best.” Combine that with an aging and fading Bobby Wagner in the middle of the defense and you've got a hole in your defense that any tight end could drive a boat through.
That's great for Week 3 when we discuss why you're going to pay up for Brock Bowers – provided his knee is ok – but what about this week? What other holes did we find? All that is about to be revealed here in the NFL Week 2 DFS Playbook.
