Welcome to the NFL Week 17 DFS Playbook for Christmas Day 2025!

Happy holidays, everyone, and welcome to another week of DFS domination for the #FAmily. The NFL continues its quest of greed as they try to take over Christmas Day from our NBA compadres and while these games are nowhere near as exciting as the three-game Thanksgiving Day slate was, it is still a great opportunity for us to have a little fun with building winning DFS lineups, playing some GPP tournaments and maybe, just maybe, recoup some of that cash you've spent on friends, family, travel and what-not, this holiday season. This Playbook will focus solely on the three Thursday games. We will have a separate two-game Playbook for Saturday and a regular Playbook for the Sunday main slate. And because so many of you asked, yes, I will even have a main-slate DFS Watch List for Week 17. It will come out later today/tonight. Not to worry, I am more than happy “Being a Scrooge” and working here on Christmas Eve.

Before I dive in to the top DFS plays for this Christmas Day slate, I do want to wish everyone a very happy holidays. As I've often shared with all of you, I do not have a relationship with my family, so this time of year, I tend to drift into the background, keep my head down and dive into my work. Some might think it sad, some might even judge, but please just remember. You never know what someone else has been through or is currently going through, so leave all judgments aside. Not just about me, but about everyone you meet in life. Times are tough for some and this is definitely a chaotic period in this world. I honestly cannot remember another time in my life where the world seems so divisive and to me, that is a shame.

As sappy as it may sound, I am a man of love and I do believe we are all connected in some fashion. We have been brought together in some cosmic way and we have been fated to connect. Think about it. With all the different fantasy sports web sites out there and all the advice and communities offered, you are here with the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily. Sure, on the surface you my be like, “of course we're here. You all win championships and money and you help us do the same.” But it's definitely more than that. It's a community. It's a vibe. And it is so strong that it has brought all of us together. Some of my closest friends in this world, I have met here at Fantasy Alarm. Not just co-workers, but you all as well. I could rattle off a ton of names and Discord handles here, but you all know who you are. We talk all the time. We play in leagues together every year. And if you don't speak directly with me on the regular and you don't play in any leagues with me, all you have to do is hit me up in Discord, social media or even email.

When I first uttered the phrase, “you can't spell family without FA,” I meant it. Remember that Richard Bach quote I post every year? "The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof." That is 100% truth for me. I believe it with every fiber of my being and I send to every #FAmily member wishes of love, strength and happiness.

OK. Heartstrings have been pulled. Now let's get to work and win some money!

First and foremost, the Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio will be from 4-6pm ET. We will not have a show on Christmas Day, but I'll be hanging around Discord and watching these potentially atrocious games should you need anything. The show will be back to its normal time on Friday, December 26th. I will be posting my bets for the Christmas Day games in the NFL Bet Tracker and look for me on social media for pick'em plays on sites like Underdog and RT Sports.

For those who are new members and to serve as a reminder to our current #FAmily members, all of our content, our tools and everything else that has made us the leading site for all of your fantasy football needs – seasonal and daily – are here and even more accessible. We have some of the content out earlier than usual because of the NFL scheduling, so if you see a coach's piece, for example, and it only has Christmas Day players listed, understand that the pieces will be updated after the holiday to include the rest of the week. We will not leave you out in the lurch.

We continue to crunch the numbers and tweak our algorithms so that our daily fantasy football projections are the best in the industry and that, in turn, has improved things like our Lineup Generator/DFS Optimizer and our NFL DFS Ownership Projections. Again, all right here on one site for your convenience.

If you are new to the #FAmily, welcome! All the aforementioned tools are, obviously, at your disposal as well, but please allow me to point you towards more of the content and tools we provide to help you crush your DFS contests each week. It also makes for a nice introduction to our DFS team.

In addition to the positional coaches, you also have plenty of other research content to use like the weekly DFS Watch List, where I provide you with a daily-updated list of players I am looking at throughout the week. You will also want to watch our weekly NFL DFS Show with me and Jon Impemba as we break down every position, highlight our favorite plays, offer a core group of players to build around and then drop an example lineup into out NFL DFS channel on Discord

For those looking for the DFS bargains, you'll see my weekly DFS Dart Board as well as Impemba's Value Plays video. And for those looking to separate themselves from the herd, we also have our Contrarian Plays video too.

Need more data? Craving more research? Many of our seasonal fantasy football articles also double as kick-ass DFS research. You have the WR/CB Match-Up Report from Drew Scott, full game previews from Mark Lammey and the team, Coop's Target Report and all of our fantasy football tools from snap counts to red zone touches

FINAL NOTE:

**One more very important thing to remember with the short slate, the focus should be on GPP lineups and having some fun. With just three games, there will be a ton of player overlap in lineups and that typically raises the pay-lines, making it more difficult to cash. Chalk plays like Jahmyr Gibbs and CeeDee Lamb will be locked into a ton of lineups and, in order to fit those salaries, people take some wild chances on their pay-downs. So when the chalk hits and so does a low-owned dart-throw which probably has higher-than-normal ownership, you'll see a ton of lineup trains atop the cash game payouts. That happens in GPP tournaments as well, but since you're taking some chances on some oddball players to be different, the hope is that when these lineup trains zig, you zag and beat them. Obviously a lot of risk there, but that's why we don't over-invest. Save your cash game play for the Sunday main slate which will have it's very own Playbook coming out on Saturday.

If you are ready, let's now dive into the NFL Week 17 DFS Playbook for the three-game Christmas Day slate! Scroll on down for the players!
