Welcome to the NFL Week 13 DFS Playbook for Thanksgiving Day 2025!

Gobble, gobble, everyone and welcome to another week of DFS domination for the #FAmily! The Thanksgiving Day slate is always a fun time for us and in years past, we've seen plenty of people cashing. This Playbook will cover the three-game slate played on Thanksgiving Day. Neither DraftKings nor FanDuel are offering proper contests that include the Black Friday game, so we will simply focus this Playbook on Thursday's action. Don't worry about Friday – we will have a separate Black Friday Showdown Playbook from Dan Malin. Something's gotta pay for all those electronics you're buying up on Friday morning, so between this Playbook and his write-up, we'll have you well-covered. 

 

 

Before we dive in, I just want to say that I hope this special NFL Week 13 Thanksgiving Playbook finds you and your family well here during the holiday. The outside world is a crazy place, sometimes, so I hope you get the opportunity to get together with family and friends to celebrate each other and be thankful for everything and everyone in your lives. Even if you are all gathered around the TV. locked into watching football, your fantasy teams and, of course, your DFS lineups all day long, keep in mind the importance of friends and family while also remember the ones who have touched our lives.

There are many of us who have lost people along the way, as well as many of us who don't have a close-knit family to spend time with over the holidays. I hope we can be all conscious of that together and understand that we all need a little camaraderie in our lives so always be open to meeting new people and being there for those who may not be so lucky to have a family or friends nearby. Something I always remind myself of during the holidays is a quote from Richard Bach who once wrote, "The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof." I take these words to heart, especially because my family is this #FAmily.

We have also made some enhancements to our NFL tools. We continue to crunch the numbers and tweak our algorithms so that our daily fantasy football projections are the best in the industry and that, in turn, has improved things like our Lineup Generator/DFS Optimizer and our NFL DFS Ownership Projections. Again, all right here on one site for your convenience.

If you are new to the #FAmily, welcome! All the aforementioned tools are, obviously, at your disposal as well, but please allow me to point you towards more of the content and tools we provide to help you crush your DFS contests each week. It also makes for a nice introduction to our DFS team.

SPECIAL NOTE:

**One more very important thing to remember – with the short slate, the focus should be on GPP lineups and having some fun. With just three games, there will be a ton of player overlap in lineups and that typically raises the pay-lines, making it more difficult to cash. Chalk plays like Jahmyr Gibbs and Ja'Marr Chase will be locked into a ton of lineups and, in order to fit those salaries, people take some wild chances on their pay-downs. So when the chalk hits and so does a low-owned dart-throw which probably has higher-than-normal ownership, you'll see a ton of lineup trains atop the cash game payouts. That happens in GPP tournaments as well, but since you're taking some chances on some oddball players to be different, the hope is that when these lineup trains zig, you zag and beat them. Obviously a lot of risk there, but that's why we don't over-invest. Save your cash game play for the Sunday main slate which will have it's very own Playbook coming out on Saturday.
