Are you ready for NFL DFS Week 1? Are you? I know I am. I know the Fantasy Alarm team is and if you're sitting here ready to dive into the NFL Week 1 DFS Playbook, I know you are too. The 2025 NFL season is here and this is OUR time. This is where we shine. We've spent the last five months getting you ready for season-long fantasy football and now it's time to start that amazing NFL DFS journey. We have bankrolls to build, cash games to dominate and GPP tournaments to take down. It's not always going to be rainbows, lollipops and sunshine, but mark my words, the #FAmily is primed to have a very big year.

If you are a longtime member, welcome back. Not too much has changed from last season, though you will find a variety of upgrades throughout our menus and site offerings. All of our content, our tools and everything else that has made us the leading site for all of your fantasy football needs – seasonal and daily – are here and even more accessible.

We have also made some enhancements to our NFL tools. We continue to crunch the numbers and tweak our algorithms so that our daily fantasy football projections are the best in the industry and that, in turn, has improved things like our Lineup Generator/DFS Optimizer and our NFL DFS Ownership Projections. Again, all right here on one site for your convenience.

If you are new to the #FAmily, welcome! All the aforementioned tools are, obviously, at your disposal as well, but please allow me to point you towards more of the content and tools we provide to help you crush your DFS contests each week. It also makes for a nice introduction to our DFS team.

In addition to the positional coaches, you also have plenty of other research content to use like the weekly DFS Watch List, where I provide you with a daily-updated list of players I am looking at throughout the week. You will also want to watch our weekly NFL DFS Show with me and Jon Impemba as we break down every position, highlight our favorite plays, offer a core group of players to build around and then drop an example lineup into out NFL DFS channel on Discord

For those looking for the DFS bargains, you'll see my weekly DFS Dart Board as well as Impemba's Value Plays video. And for those looking to separate themselves from the herd, we also have our Contrarian Plays video too.

Need more data? Craving more research? Many of our seasonal fantasy football articles also double as kick-ass DFS research. You have the WR/CB Match-Up Report from Drew Scott, full game previews from Mark Lammey and the team, Coop's Target Report and all of our fantasy football tools from snap counts to red zone touches.

Yes, that's a lot of content and sure, it can be overwhelming, but these pieces come out throughout the week, so if you're seeing all of this for the first time, just know that it all starts trickling out on Tuesday so you can attack the info steadily rather than get slammed all at once. I would suggest that you go through both the Fantasy and Daily Fantasy menus and start bookmarking a lot of these pieces for ease of use in the future.

Once you've got all of that under your belt, it's time to look at the DFS Playbook. It usually arrives in the early afternoon (eastern time) on Saturdays which gives you ample time to read through everything, make your notes and begin working on your lineups. On Sunday morning, we will provide you with DFS Example Lineups for both cash games and GPP tournaments on DraftKings and FanDuel, so you have something to compare your own to before finalizing.

Pretty sure that sums up the basics, and as you should know, if you have any questions, we are all available via the Fantasy Alarm Discord Chat, social media and even email, so please do not ever hesitate to ask for help. That's what we are here for.

And don't worry -- these introductions will be a whole lot shorter moving forward. I just wanted to welcome you all personally as we plan to have a ton of fun this season and keep you all in the green!

Now let's get to the NFL DFS Week 1 Playbook.

**You might notice that there isn't much variance from the Watch List this week. Simply put, it's Week 1 and the guys I've written up in the Watch List are the ones who stood out the most as I was doing my research. It won't always be like this, but since we don't have any “new” data to go one, this is what we've got. Doesn't make it any less effective for you. All of my lineups are coming from here with maybe a player or two emerging from the Dart Board which will come out later in the day.
