NFL Week 4 is here and we’ve got plenty going on in the news that will likely affect your football bets and player props. Vegas is already making their adjustments, so if you see something you really like, you may want to bet it now as all the latest NFL injury news rolls out. We’ve learned that Jimmy Garoppolo will not be starting for the Las Vegas Raiders due to a concussion, so that game line and spread have already moved. We’re hearing it’s wheels-up for Brandon Aiyuk so with news of Deebo Samuel being questionable, his receiving yard prop just jumped a bit. And what about Miles Sanders? As all of this news trickles in, I am starting to look at some different games from when I was on Friday’s Bettor Sports Betting Show. So, let’s take a look at what my NFL Week 4 bets look like.

NFL Week 4 Best Bets

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills

I can sit here and break down both offenses in detail, talk about Josh Allen’s last game against a Vic Fangio defense and what the ATS numbers are for this series, but the bottom line is that I believe there is a reason Vegas has had Buffalo as a favorite the entire time even with the Dolphins hanging 70 points on Denver last week. I think most will look at it like that – “Miami scored 70 and they’re the underdog? I’ll totally take the points.” Not me.

Pick: Bills -2.5

Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers

I’m definitely in the minority on this game. Carolina’s defense is strong against the pass, weak against the run. Alexander Mattison and maybe Cam Akers could have strong days if the Vikings were to fully commit to the run. But Kevin O’Connell doesn’t like that and can use Mattison’s struggles as a potential scapegoat for trying to stay pass heavy and then potentially failing. Yes, Kirk Cousins is averaging 300-plus passing yards per game with a 9:2 TD:INT but raise your hand if you’ve ever bet on Kirk after a run like this and been disappointed. Yep. That’s what I thought. Home game for the Panthers. This smells like trouble. Maybe the Vikings escape with the win but they don’t get the cover.

Pick: Panthers +4.5

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns

I’m a big fan of both teams and believe this could be a fierce defensive battle. The 38.5 over/under tells you that as well. With all things being close in this matchup and hearing about Deshaun Watson’s shoulder woes at practice, I’m assuming this is a close game and when that happens, I want to be on the Justin Tucker side. Buy it up to three if you bet offshore, just to play it safe.

Pick: Ravens +2.5

For the Record: I was totally in on the Las Vegas Raiders +5.5 before the Garoppolo news broke and I’m super tempted to still take it here at +6, but I cannot recommend it.
