NFL Week 13 wraps up with an interesting AFC match-up on Monday Night Football as the Cincinnati Bengals head south to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bengals are desperate to end a three-game losing streak so they don’t completely fall out of the playoff discussion and doing it without Joe Burrow is going to be a daunting task. Meanwhile the Jaguars have won seven of their last eight, Trevor Lawrence is rolling and a win will extend their divisional lead in the AFC South. Does desperation win out or does Jacksonville cement it’s position as an AFC powerhouse? And how do we bet this game? Let’s take a look at our football picks against the spread and see if we can’t find a few player props to bet as well.

NFL Monday Night Football Best Bets: Cincinnati Bengals vs Jacksonville Jaguars

The Spread: Jaguars -10

There is no question that the Jaguars are the better team. Their defense is superior and even with Travis Etienne banged-up and questionable for the game (he is expected to play), this offense looks incredibly strong. Trevor Lawrence and Calvin Ridley are jelling nicely, especially against zone coverage, and they’re getting back another weapon in Zay Jones which can only make life more difficult for the Bengals secondary. But while the Jags are, overall, a better team, you never count out a team that had Super Bowl dreams heading into the season. We may not love Jake Browning, but he’s got tremendous weapons in Joe Mixon, Ja'Marr Chase, Tyler Boyd and a returning Tee Higgins. Yes, the Jags are 8-3 against the spread this season, but 10 points is a lot and based on what we’ve seen during prime-time games, they can keep it close enough for us. Even if it’s a back-door cover.

Pick: Bengals +10 (-110)

The Total: 40

If the scoring trends for prime-time games are this consistent, there is little reason to stray from what they are with regard to betting. Sure, there are always going to be outliers, but when the under is 13-1 on Monday Night Football and 27-10 in prime time overall, it’s going to take a special kind of match-up for us to deviate from the plan. I‘m sure the Jaguars are capable of putting up 40 points on their own at times, but neither they nor this match-up against the Bengals give me reason to think this game is going to be an outlier. It will be close and we’ll likely sweat it out, but even a total this low doesn’t unnerve me.  Getting like a 21-13 vibe from this one.

Pick: Under 40 (-110)
