Fantasy Football Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Brock Bowers, Travis Kelce & Trey McBride
This intro is short. Why? Because I’m running behind schedule and I have a show starting in a few minutes. There’s no time to wax poetic about the most beautiful position in all of football, so I’ll now give you the important information you need regarding the article. Good day.
These are my half PPR tight end rankings for Week 12. They are being shared with you, for free, because I like you. This article will be updated again on Sunday shortly after noon Eastern time. If you want the season-long rankings for your roster decisions, those can be found at the bottom of the waiver wire article where it says Yin & Yang Tight End. If you want my rankings for every position and every format, those are available to Fantasy Alarm Members here. There’s a lot more than just rankings up there, like all the DFS and betting advice that pays for your membership and then some, so get set up with that. And pop into Coop’s Corner in the premium Discord to say hi once you do!
As always, I’ll be available for comments or concerns in the Twitter or Reddit threads, so feel free to weigh in there with your own thoughts - or any questions you have for this week!

Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 1
This tweet sums up all you need to know about Trey McBride being in a tier of his own right now.
Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 2
You could realistically rank anyone in this tier at #2 overall this week and I wouldn’t argue. They all have good deployment and massive upside and, in the cases of George Kittle and Travis Kelce, really good matchups.
Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 3
Hunter Henry has been fairly hit or miss so far. But the Bengals have been by far the worst team vs. tight ends allowing an absurd 22.5 PPR points per game (next closest is the Jaguars at 17.8). So he’s worth the risk here. Dallas Goedert has been showing why we don’t really trust him either lately as the touchdowns were unsustainable given his lack of success vs. man to man and lack of endzone targets. But again, good matchup. If anyone wants to bench Kyle Pitts I would not blame them with Kirk Cousins but Drake London is out and the matchup is good. The Eagles have been killer’s against the tight end this year so it’s a tough spot for Ferguson but he can always sneak around and make something happen - unlike Goedert, he’s been great vs. man to man and he’s second in endzone targets to only Trey McBride.
Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 4
We are finally getting a decent matchup for Theo Johnson with dart at QB which is intriguing. Juwan Johnson has been great outside the couple games he was banged up following the Bills game but Falcons are a tough matchup for tight ends. Mark Andrews is banking on TDs as always while Cade Otton has his second bad matchup in a row. Harold Fannin is a tough one to rank as Njoku is banged up but it’s Shedeur Sanders. And the Bills have been the best team vs. the TE so we are trying not to use Schultz.
Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 5
These is the “intriguing upside” tier. Colston Loveland was out snapped and outproduced by Cole Kmet last week but we all know the upside for an athlete like this in any week. AJ Barner actually got an 82% route participation last week which is more important to us than the targets honestly. Mason Taylor could connect with Tyrod with no WRs healthy but that team is terrible. And Brenton Strange may or may not be back this week.
Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 6
We really don’t love these guys. Noah Fant (17), Tanner Hudson (17), and Drew Sample (16) all split the routes out of 41 and that was without Gesicki. T.J. Hockenson has been brutal. Brock Wright is an interesting DFS play after a bad matchup last week where he got 7 targets but can’t trust him. Njoku is banged up. We had good words about Musgrave but we have yet to see it. Knox had one catch last week and has a bad matchup. Jonnu is part of Arthur Smith’s TE house of mirrors.
Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 7
These guys aren’t even a guarantee to lead their own team in snaps or routes but have shown that they can randomly have a good day at any points, for what it’s worth.
Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 8
Week 12 Tight End Rankings: Tier 9
On second thought, let’s not go to Tier 9. Tis a silly place.
