Latest NFL News & Rumors This Week: Trevon Diggs & Keenan Allen Find New Homes

A couple of days ago, it was announced that Keenan Allen would be joining the Indianapolis Colts wide receiver room on a one-year contract. Today, pen was put to paper, and the deal is official. It will be strange seeing Allen rocking a number 10 jersey rather than his signature number 13, but Laquon Treadwell is not giving that up, I guess.

The newest big signing across the league, though, is the two-time Pro Bowler, Trevon Diggs, joining the reigning Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks. Diggs is set to compete for a role in a secondary currently dealing with several injuries. The Seahawks are also still adding Terrion Arnold to the room, but he is being placed on the commissioner's exempt list.

Daniel Faalele Traded

Great news for New York Giants fans: the man who provided several lowlights along the Ravens’ offensive line over the past couple of years, Daniel Faalele, is being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars before he plays a single regular-season snap for the Giants. Pending his physical, the Giants are set to receive a 2027 sixth-round pick for Faalele. The Jaguars were looking to add some size along their offensive line and do so with the 6′ 8″, 380lb Faalele.

Fantasy Football News & Rumors

Kaelon Black is Christian McCaffrey’s Handcuff

In fantasy football, Christian McCaffrey is either a blessing or a curse. Fantasy managers either get a top-three fantasy football running back or a player who sits on their IR all season. Right now, McCaffrey is sidelined for “tightness,” and while it is not considered a “severe” injury, it’s better to be safe than sorry. So, in order to prepare for the inevitable heartbreaking injury, we are looking out for the lead back behind Christian McCaffrey.

Right now, rookie running back Kaelon Black has been operating as the San Francisco 49ers’ lead back in training camp practices. Currently being drafted as the RB65, he could be one of the most valuable handcuffs on the board. It is worth noting, though, that Jordan James is also currently dealing with an injury.

Alvin Kamara Out for a Month

People have been fearing the idea of drafting Travis Etienne in fantasy football despite the impressive season he had last year and the monster contract he received from the New Orleans Saints. The concern has been that he will be splitting significant carries with veteran running back Alvin Kamara. Well, Alvin Kamara unfortunately just sprained his MCL and is expected to miss at least a month.

While this is a brutal blow to the Saints, who already lost their rookie wide receiver, Jordyn Tyson, to a hamstring injury, this could be huge for Etienne’s draft stock, as he is currently being drafted as the RB19.

New NFL Injury Updates - Jayden Higgins Tears ACL

This offseason, Jayden Higgins has been a massive breakout candidate and a superstar at Houston Texans training camp. Fellow wide receiver, Nico Collins, even said he was going to be the “face of the franchise” one day. Unfortunately, Higgins’ breakout will have to wait for another season, as he sadly went down with a torn ACL. The Texans’ wide receiver room now consists of Nico Collins, Xavier Hutchinson, Lewis Bond, along with Tank Dell and Jaylin Noel, who are working their way back from injuries.
