Latest NFL News & Rumors This Week

We are working our way to the trade deadline in the NFL, so things are heating up! In today's Latest NFL News & Rumors This Week, we have some AFC North trades, a suspension to Odell Beckham, and much more!

NFL Transactions Update: Joe Flacco, Odafe Oweh Traded

Some massive roster shakeups occurred over the past couple of days: the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Bengals made some big roster changes via trades.

First, the Baltimore Ravens sent pass rusher Odafe Oweh and a 2027 7th-round pick to the Los Angeles Chargers for safety Alohi Gilman and a 2026 5th-round pick. The Chargers get some much-needed reinforcements after losing superstar Khalil Mack to injury, and the Ravens get to do the same to their safety room with Kyle Hamilton going down with injury (along with the rest of their team).

The even bigger move was an interdivision trade to send quarterback Joe Flacco to the Bengals from the Browns. The deal included Flacco and a 6th-round pick for a 5th-round pick. Flacco will immediately start under center for the Bengals in Week 6, replacing the struggling Jake Browning, hoping to make a push for some wins prior to Joe Burrow's return.

Odell Beckham Suspended

Despite having yet to play a game this season and only having nine total receptions last year, wide receiver Odell Beckham announced he has accepted and is serving a six-game suspension due to a PED violation last season. Beckham has previously expressed interest in rejoining the New York Giants before he retires, who could use some wide receiver help after losing Malik Nabers for the year.

Fantasy Football Injury Update: Brenton Strange, Omarion Hampton to IR

The injury bug has been going wild this season, and things have only gotten worse. Recently, two notable fantasy football stars, running back Omarion Hampton and tight end Brenton Strange, were placed on injured reserve due to their respective injuries. The Chargers now turn to a backfield featuring Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal to replace Hampton, while Lawrence will have to look to get the ball to other weapons in the passing game, such as Brian Thomas, Travis Hunter, and Dyami Brown

Some other players who are dealing with injuries that could impact your fantasy football lineups include Kyler Murray, Darius Slayton, and Saquon Barkley.

Germaine Pratt Signs with the Colts

After being released recently by the Las Vegas Raiders, veteran linebacker Germaine Pratt has found a new home fairly quickly. Pratt will be signing a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, despite interest from other teams. Pratt now rejoins his former defensive coordinator from his time with the Bengals: Lou Anarumo.

Additionally, the Baltimore Ravens have made a move to sign C.J. Garnder-Johnson to their practice squad to continue to fill out their banged-up secondary.
