Underdog Fantasy NBA Top Picks - October 25: Andrew Wiggins Keeps Scoring Against Suns
With just four games on Tuesday, October 25th’s NBA main slate, we have limited options to choose from, but man there are a LOT of great spots to attack. There’s a lot of starpower on tonight’s slate including Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, and Devin Booker. There are also a bunch of guys ruled out, such as Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and Paul George. Let’s dive into our favorite Underdog Fantasy NBA plays of the night!
Christian Wood OVER 7.5 rebounds
In two games this year, Christian Wood has looked fantastic in a Dallas Mavericks jersey and is averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds. He’s grabbed eight and 12 rebounds in each of the first two games and has yet to play more than 25 minutes, but in the second game Dallas absolutely blew Memphis out, so maybe he approaches 30 in more competitive games moving forward.
Christian Wood is an elite rebounder. Just look at what the guy has done dating back to last year. Wood has hit over in eight of his last 10 games.
He’s also done it 24 over his last 30 times and when you look at the numbers, FIVE of the six he missed were one rebound away.
I absolutely love Wood in this spot against a Pelicans team missing Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and Herb Jones.
Andrew Wiggins OVER 16.5 points
It’s been a great start to the year for Andrew Wiggins and I’m not sure how many people even realize how good he’s been. He has poured in 20+ points in all three games this year, including 23 and 24 points in the last two. With Klay Thompson still not up to full speed and topping out at 27 minutes, Wiggins has had a lot of opportunities to score the ball.
Over Wiggins’ last 10 games, including seven last year, he’s hit the over in nine-of-10 games, according to props.cash.
He also hit the over against Phoenix twice last year in three meetings against them, a team that had a defensive stopper in Jae Crowder that is no longer playing for them. Wiggins has a 22.3% USG rate and per 36 minutes this year, Wiggins has averaged over 24 points. He should approach that here in a key conference battle against the Suns.
