On Wednesday, January 18th, we have a nine-game NBA slate on our hands and that means a lot of opportunity for props to take advantage of. We have stars everywhere you turn including the likes of Nikola Jokic, LeBron James, and Ja Morant playing this evening. Two players I’m keying in on tonight are Myles Turner and Trae Young. Both should lead us to the promise land! Let’s dive in.

Myles Turner OVER 18.0 Points

The Pacers will once again be without Tyrese Haliburton tonight which puts everyone else in the limelight and Turner heads the pack. He’s scored 29 and 30 points in each of his last two games and now has a great match-up against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight.

Myles Turner draws a defense that is bottom-10 in terms of DvP against centers and although that has more to do with fantasy points, those two things correlate. This game has a massive 241 over/under, too, which is the second-best on the board.

Turner’s played two games without Haliburton this year and has exploded with 29+ points as I’ve mentioned above. Without Haliburton this year, Turner has a +3.2% USG bump to 24.6%, and is per 36 minutes, Turner is averaging 24.8 PPG. That’s relevant because Turner played 36 minutes last game and has topped 34 minutes in five of his last seven games.

Trae Young OVER 26.0 points

When you take a look at Young’s body of work this year, he hasn’t been overly impressive, especially from a percentage standpoint, but that’s taken a shift lately. He’s shooting 42% on the year, but 47% over his last four games overall. During the month of January overall he’s at 47% and from three land, he’s at a season-high 43%.

Young matches up against the Mavericks who had been one of the league’s worst defensive units of late. Dallas is 29th in DRtg over their last 10 games and yes, getting Dorian Finney-Smith back helps, but that doesn’t really impact Young. He’s hit this number about 56% of the time this year but circumstances are different against a struggling Mavs team.

Look for Young to continue his hot shooting against a struggling defense in a game with an impressive 233.5 over/under.
