On Thursday, December 8th, we have just three games on the NBA main slate but we have plenty of props to UnderdogFantasy pick from. We have elite names popping up on the injury report which could bring us to specific player props around the league. Let’s dive into our favorite plays of the day!

NBA Underdog Fantasy Top Picks December 8

Tre Jones, San Antonio Spurs – UNDER 15.5 Points

Despite the fact that Devin Vassell is listed as doubtful and is unlikely to play I’m taking the under on Tre Jones’ point total here. When you look at what Jones does best, it’s not precisely scoring the basketball. On the year, Jones is averaging 12.1 points per game and in 23 games, he’s gone over this total just six times.

Circling back to Devin Vassell’s likely absence, Jones has played five games without Vassell this season and he’s yet to hit the over here. Five games, five unders, and this line is being bet up as Vegas odds have this number sitting at 13.5. Jones stays on the floor for 30+ minutes even in blowouts, so if this game gets out of hand – which many Spurs’ games do – he’ll be on the floor.

Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers – OVER 24.5 Points

I love this spot for Damian Lillard and the Blazers. This is a fantastic spot for the Blazers as Denver ranks 26th in DRtg and they’re 24th in DvP against point guards. Lillard’s already faced off against Denver this year and he poured in 31 points over 34 minutes. Lillard’s averaging 25.8 points per game through 12 outings this season.

The Blazers have the second-highest implied total on the board, only behind their opponents, so this game is going to feature a LOT of offense. Jamal Murray has a 113 DRtg for his career and it’s 116 this year, his first season coming off a major injury.
