NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks

MVP/Captain

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Curry has been back and healthy for seven games and has been very solid since his return. In his last four games in particular Curry has scored at least 26 points in each game to go along with at least 45 fantasy points in each of those contests as well. That includes two games in the 50s as well. Curry is your safest play at the captain spot tonight, I just do not think he has the highest ceiling because we have not seen it in a while.

Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors

In my eyes, Siaakam has the highest ceiling of anyone on this slate. He has scored over 70 fantasy points twice this season and plays a whopping 37 minutes per game as the small ball five for this Raptors team. He has also been on fire over his last three games scoring over 55 fantasy points in two of the three. I don't think you can go wrong with Siakam or Curry tonight.

Fred VanVleet, Toronto Raptors

VanVleet is also in play tonight as he has just been on a tear the last five games he has played. Over that span, he has scored over 60 fantasy points twice and hasn't gone under 40 fantasy points in his last five. The last time these two teams met up in December VanVleet finished with a line of 22-4-8 for 42 fantasy points. VanVleet is a solid play in this one.

Utility

Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors

Barnes's price is a little high, but I think he is worth the price of admission. He has at least five assists in his last five games and is pretty much the point forward of this team. This has created a nice floor for Barnes who hasn't scored less than 25 fantasy points in any game in January. The last time these two teams squared up Barnes finished with 17-5-4 for just 30 fantasy points. He will look to improve on that tonight.

Jordan Poole, Golden State Warriors

Jordan Poole's numbers haven't really taken a hit with everyone back on the floor and healthy. In the last four games, he has played 36 minutes a game, while averaging 23-4-4 for 40 fantasy points per game. His price is a bit higher than I would like, but I think he is one of your better utility options tonight.

Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors

We know that Klay can just go completely bananas at any point in any game. Like what he did against Atlanta earlier this month when he dropped 54 points on them. This is just going to be a tougher matchup for him tonight. The Raptors have a multitude of wing defenders they can throw at him, so I do not love it. But, he did score 34 fantasy points in the last meeting against the Raptors, so there is hope tonight.

Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors

Draymond Green has had a nice little mid-season resurgence. He has scored at least 34 fantasy points in six of his last seven games. to go along with that he has at least seven assists in five of those seven games as well. But what has stood out to me over the last three games is his rebounding. He has grabbed at least 11 rebounds in those three games. Green has a good matchup to keep rebounding the heck out of the basketball against a smaller Raptors team. I like him tonight.

Dart Throws

Precious Achiuwa, Toronto Raptors

With everyone healthy in Toronto for the Raptors, Achiuwa went back to the bench but it didn't matter. He still played 28 minutes and had a good scoring game finishing with 19 points and five rebounds finishing with 24 fantasy points. At his price, you can't go wrong with Achiuwa tonight.

Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State Warriors

Kuminga has been back from his foot injury for the last three games and has earned a key part in this wing rotation. He has played at least 24 minutes in each game and scored over 22 fantasy points in each game. At $4,000 on DraftKings Kuminga is an obvious play for me with a solid floor.
