We have an awesome DFS showdown slate to finish off this beautiful Friday. Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are traveling to Los Angeles to take on LeBron James and the Lakers. Lebron comes into this one questionable but should be available after playing in the Lakers last game.

NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks

MVP/Captain

LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers

Lebron is questionable heading into this one, but we would like to think he will ply. He played the Lakers last game with the same ankle soreness. In the loss to the Kings Lebron finished with 60 fantasy points while posting a line of 32-9-8. James has the highest ceiling on this slate, and if he plays, should be your top choice as captain tonight.

Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies

Morant can just go crazy tonight against this Lakers team that struggles defensively. Ja has been great as of late scoring at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last 11 games. As long as the Lakers stay within striking distance in this one, I have a feeling Ja is going to have a huge game in LA.

Russell Westbrook, Los Angeles Lakers

Westbrook sure is a character on the court, but the man knows how to fill up a stat sheet. Over his last five games, he is averaging 23-8-6 to go along with his 45 fantasy points per game. The Grizzlies' defense is very good and has elite rim protection with Jaren Jackson Jr. That could force Westbrook into becoming more of a jump shooter tonight, and that is not ideal.

Utility

Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis Grizzlies

Jaren Jackson Jr. is one of my favorite players to watch in the NBA. He does a little bit of everything for this Grizzlies team, especially on the defensive end. He averages just over three blocks per game and has been especially good over his last five games. Jackson has blocked three or more shots in three of his last five games. With the lack of shooting the Lakers have, it could be a night where Jackson eclipses five blocks once again.

Desmond Bane, Memphis Grizzlies

Bane is a great secondary scoring option for the Grizzlies next to Ja Morant. He has scored at least 15 points in nine straight games and has scored at least 23 fantasy points in each of those games. What you like to see from Bane is his assist and rebounding numbers have been up which raises his fantasy ceiling, He should keep his solid play up in this one against the Lakers.

Steven Adams, Memphis Grizzlies

Adams doesn't do anything special, but he gets the job done for this Grizzlies team. He has only scored under 20 fantasy points once in his last 18 games because of the job he does rebounding. Adams is averaging just over 11 rebounds per game this season and has eclipsed that mark in seven of his last 12 games. Plug Adams in with confidence knowing he will get you 20+ fantasy points tonight.

Wenyen Gabriel, Los Angeles Lakers

Wenyen Gabriel has ruined all of our Thomas Bryant fun.  Bryant went through a span where he was fantastic but now Gabriel is getting just as much run if not more. Gabriel has played at least 24 minutes in four straight games and scored at least 19 fantasy points in five straight. Gabriel is the big one you want to play for the Lakers now, not Bryant.

Darth Throws

Troy Brown Jr., Los Angeles Lakers

I was torn about who to with here between Brown and Nunn but ultimately landed on Brown because of the minutes difference. Brown has played over 30 minutes in three of his last four games when Nunn hasn't eclipsed that all season. Unfortunately Brown doesn't do anything particularly well, so he will just float around 20 Fantasy points unless he gets hot from downtown.

Santi Aldama, Memphis Grizzlies

Aldama was great earlier this season when he was starting for the injured Jaren Jackson Jr. He has since then tapered off, but he is settling into his role nicely. His last five games have been nice averaging 20 fantasy points per game in just 21 minutes. Aldama is a great play at his under $4,000 price and will find his way into my lineup tonight.
