For tonight’s NBA DFS Showdown breakdown, we’re looking at the late-night matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors. This matchup looks to be a high-scoring affair with the game total being set at 238 which is the highest total on the slate. This young Kings team led by De'Aaron Fox is looking for revenge on Stephen Curry and the Warriors after they knocked them out of the playoffs last season.

Finding some of the NBA DFS top picks could be made easier if you take a look at Fantasy Alarm’s NBA DFS Projections, powered by FanJections. Let’s dive into the complete breakdown for tonight’s NBA DFS showdown slate on DraftKings and FanDuel.

NBA DFS Showdown CPT/MVP Top Plays

Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings

Sabonis is the highest-priced player on this slate and it is well deserved after what we saw from him last season. Sabonis was a double-double machine last season recording 65 of them.

He started the season off with a 22-12-5 night finishing with 51 DraftKings points as he and De'Aaron Fox finished where they started last season. This matchup against the Warriors is a good one, as their best defender Draymond Green is out. Sabonis will be primarily guarded by Looney, which I am fine with as both of these teams play at an extremely fast pace. Sabonis makes a great case to be your captain tonight.

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Steph started the season out a bit slow as we were dealing with some early foul trouble that had him struggling to find a rhythm. He finished with just 8-20 from the field for 27 game points, but he finished with 37 DraftKings points. The weirdest part of Curry's stat line is he only had one assist.

I know that Chris Paul is the point guard of this team and we will get into him in a little bit. But Curry getting just one assist is a bit extreme. That number will go up, beginning in this matchup. I look for Curry to have a bounce-back night in this one, and have a great night.

De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

Like Curry, Fox struggled from the field in game one of the season as well. He finished just 6-18 from the floor and 1-7 from downtown for just 36 DraftKings points. Better days are ahead for Fox, starting with the matchup tonight against the Warriors. Fox had a great playoff series against them last season, averaging 27-7-5 and I expect his line tonight to look close to that in this matchup. He makes for a very viable option if you want to pay down at the captain spot.

NBA DFS Showdown UTIL Top Plays

Chris Paul, Golden State Warriors

Chris Paul looked great in his first game with his newest team. Paul had a team-high nine assists and started with Draymond Green. Not only did Paul start, but he also ran a lot with the second unit running the show. He finished with 38.5 DraftKings points and that was with his scoring game struggling going just 4-15 from the floor.

He played 34 minutes and if that continues he should have a massive floor most nights and should find his way into your lineup tonight. It will be interesting how this matchup plays out with Paul generally wanting to play a bit slower.

Kevon Looney, Golden State Warriors

Looney is another guy on this Warriors roster to have a huge floor with Draymond Green out. Looney is almost guaranteed double-digit rebounds as he did on opening night grabbing 11 boards in 28 minutes. Do not expect him to have a huge game tonight, but he will be serviceable at his price given the fact the Warriors need him to play close to 30 minutes every night with Draymond out of the lineup.

Keegan Murray, Sacramento Kings

Keegan Murray is starting for the Kings and looks to be a big part of their offense. He took 13 shots in the opener, including nine shots from behind the three-point line. He knocked down four of them and grabbed eight rebounds for 34 DraftKings points. Murray did have two blocks in the first game which probably isn't sustainable, however, his rebounding numbers are along with his three-point shooting. Murray is a solid play at 6.4K on DraftKings.

Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State Warriors

We got hyped about Jonathan Kuminga and his preseason usage and he did not disappoint in the first game, even battling through early foul trouble. Because of that, he only played 20 minutes, but when he was in, boy did he bring the energy. He finished with 12 points six rebounds and two steals to finish with 26 DraftKings points. In a game that projects to be fast-paced, Kuminga should played in all formats tonight in DFS, not just on this slate.

NBA DFS Showdown Value Plays

Moses Moody, Golden State Warriors

Moses Moddy was the first guard off the bench for the Warriors on Tuesday night and he came out firing. He went 4-6 from the field while knocking down 2-4 shots from behind the arc for 23 fantasy points. He also added three steals, as Kuminga did, he brought the energy off the bench. Moody cooled off in the second half of the game and was pretty non-existent however, which does worry me a bit. But at his price of $4.2K, there is going to be some worry.

Dario Saric, Golden State Warriors

Saric is the backup center for the Warriors and played 20 minutes in the opener. His minutes should stay around that as long as Draymond Green is absent, so we might as well take advantage of it. Saric finished with seven points and seven rebounds, but it could have been much better. He shot just 3-11 from the field. We love to see those shot attempts from him, we just need them to fall in this one. If they do, he will pay off big tonight.

Sasha Vezenkov, Sacramento Kings

I am going to start this out by saying this is a total dart throw, but Vezenkov brings a bit of value on this slate because of his price. He scored eight points in 16 minutes for 15.5 fantasy points for the Kings in the opener. I get it, you aren't impressed. However, Trey Lyles is out for this game, which could lead to 20+ minutes for Sahsa VezenKov is this one off the bench. If that happens he should have no problem returning value.
