DFS Captain / MVP Picks
Deni Avdija, POR
(DK CPT - $15,000, UTIL - $10,000 / FD CPT - $24,000, UTIL - $15,000)
The do-everything-forward is going to shoulder a massive load for the Blazers here as Jrue Holiday is doubtful to play for a second straight game. Avdija, without Holiday, has a 31.6% USG and is averaging 1.46 FP/min. He’s also first in assist percentage without Holiday, so the offense flows through him.
Shaedon Sharpe, POR
(DK CPT - $12,000, UTIL - $8,000 / FD CPT - $18,600, UTIL - $12,400)
Bruh, look at Shaedon Sharpe without Jrue Holiday. It’s insane. He has a +6.5% USG bump up to 39%! 39%!!!!! The 1.28 FP/min isn’t too shabby either, but Sharpe poured in 36 actual points in the team's first game without Holiday.
Devin Booker, PHX
(DK CPT - $15,900, UTIL - $10,600 / FD CPT - $24,000, UTIL - $16,000)
Hey, news flash: Devin Booker’s really freakin’ good at basketball and fantasy basketball too. Without Grayson Allen and Jalen Green this year, Booker has a 35.6% USG and is averaging 1.35 FP/min. Without those two players, Booker could see upwards of 40 minutes tonight and thrash the Blazers while doing it.

DFS Utility Picks
Jerami Grant, POR
(DK CPT - $9,600, UTIL - $6,400 / FD CPT - $11,700, UTIL - $7,800)
The Trail Blazers inserted Jerami Grant into the starting lineup without Jrue Holiday and will likely do it again here. Grant had a 25% USG in that game, which is actually slightly lower than what it’s been all year (26%) without Holiday on the floor. Nevertheless, we’re talking about a high usage rate and a guy averaging 1.15 FP/min to boot.
Dillon Brooks, PHX
(DK CPT - $11,400, UTIL - $7,600 / FD CPT - $13,500, UTIL - $9,000)
Look, Dillon Brooks is undeniable at this point. He really is. How about a 32.5% USG without Jalen Green and Grayson Allen. Brooks has also averaged nearly 1.2 FP/min and the minutes have ticked all the way up since his injury. He’s poured in 32-plus points in two straight and played 35 minutes last time out.
Donovan Clingan, POR
(DK CPT - $7,800, UTIL - $5,200 / FD CPT - $9,000, UTIL - $6,000)
With less chance of going small, Donovan Clingan dominated the last game. He’s really good without Jrue Holiday numbers wise and for a low-usage player, seeing a 2.6% USG increase is notable. He’s averaging 1.2 FP/min without Holiday on the year and I’d even consider him as a low-owned captain if I was trying to jam in all the studs from this game.
Collin Gillespie, PHX
(DK CPT - $8,400, UTIL - $5,600 / FD CPT - $8,700, UTIL - $5,800)
We saw what the minutes upside can look like. He played 31 minutes last time out sans Grayson Allen and Jalen Green and guess what? They’re out again! He’s not a high usage player, but he’s very good per minute sitting at 1.14 FP/min this year.
DFS Dart Throws
- Jordan Goodwin, PHX (DK CPT - $8,700, UTIL - $5,800 / FD CPT - $7,500, UTIL - $5,000)
- Kris Murray, POR (DK CPT - $7,500, UTIL - $5,000 / FD CPT - $6,000, UTIL - $4,000)
- Robert Williams, POR (DK CPT - $6,900, UTIL - $4,900 / FD CPT - $6,000, UTIL - $4,400)
