DFS Captain / MVP Picks

Deni Avdija, POR

(DK CPT - $16,200, UTIL - $10,800 / FD CPT - $23,700, UTIL - $15,800)

Avdija has flashed a massive ceiling on multiple occasions this season. He is a virtual lock for 40+ fantasy points any time he plays 30+ minutes, and twice he has surpassed 70 fantasy points this season. Since Holiday went down with an injury, Avdija is averaging 25.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game. He has a great chance to be the highest scorer on the single-game slate. 

DeMar DeRozan, SAC

(DK CPT - $10,800, UTIL - $7,200 / FD CPT - $13,200, UTIL - $10,800)

With Zach LaVine ruled out, DeRozan should operate as the primary scorer in the Kings' offense. With LaVine and Sabonis off the floor this season, DeRozan has posted a 26.5% usage rate, and the 5.5% boost in that situation is the largest on the team among regular rotation members. The significant discount from Westbrook has DeRozan slightly ahead as the best Kings option in the top lineup spot. 

Shaedon Sharpe, POR

(DK CPT - $12,000, UTIL - $8,000 / FD CPT - $16,800, UTIL - $11,200)

Sharpe is coming off an eruption game against the Warriors in which he dropped 35 points. He shot 5-of-7 from three-point range and 67% from the field overall. He would need another elite shooting performance like that to be the top option on the slate. 

Russell Westbrook, SAC

(DK CPT - $13,800, UTIL - $9,200 / FD CPT - $19,200, UTIL - $12,800)

Westbrook has the highest ceiling among the Kings' options. If they have a chance to win the game, it will likely be due to a massive performance from Westbrook.  With Zach LaVine out, Westbrook should take on a massive role, and he is live for a triple-double any time he takes the floor. 

 

 


 

DFS Utility Picks

Jerami Grant, POR

(DK CPT - $11,100, UTIL - $7,400 / FD CPT - $15,000, UTIL - $10,000)

Grant also put up a ceiling performance against the Warriors last game, draining seven threes and finishing with 35 points. It is more likely we see the usage spike from Sharpe again, but Grant certainly has it in his bag. Even if he doesn't hit his ceiling, Grant is a strong floor option with a locked-in role. 

Donovan Clingan, POR 

(DK CPT - $9,000, UTIL - $6,000 / FD CPT - $10,200, UTIL - $6,800)

Centers have absolutely torched the Kings while Domantas Sabonis has been out of the lineup, and Sacramento has allowed the most points in the paint in the entire league. They have also allowed the 6th-most rebounds, and they have the worst rebounding rate in the league since Sabonis was injured. Clingan has a chance at a huge performance if he can play 25+ minutes tonight. 

Keegan Murray, SAC 

(DK CPT - $11,700, UTIL - $7,800 / FD CPT - $14,400, UTIL - $9,600)

Murray has been struggling with his shot a bit this month, particularly from long range. If he can get back on track tonight, he has a chance at a strong performance. He's locked in to play mid-30s minutes in a close game, so the floor is very solid. 

Malik Monk, SAC

(DK CPT - $7,800, UTIL - $5,200 / FD CPT - $8,400, UTIL - $5,600)

Keep an eye on the injury status of Dennis Schroder. Monk would get a pretty significant boost if Schroder (questionable) is ruled out again. Last time LaVine and Schroder were both out, Monk played 30 minutes and posted more than 30 fantasy points.
