We have a great matchup for the late-night hammer NBA Showdown between the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets. There is a ton of star power on the Showdown slate tonight including Stephen Curry who has been cooking this season and two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

NBA DFS Showdown CPT/MVP Top Plays

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets

Jokic is the top option at the captain spot tonight and its pretty hard to argue against. He is a great option with Jamal Murray in the lineup, but with him out of it, he is a lineup lock. With Murray out last game Jokic shot the ball 24 times which was the most attempts in any game this season. He finished with a 35-14-12 triple-double for 79 fantasy points. His ceiling is just so much higher than everyone else's. Play Jokic, and it is pretty easy to build around him tonight.

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Curry has done a solid job to begin the season. He just doesn't have quite the ceiling Nikola Jokic does. Curry took 26 shots and scored 34 game points but scored just 44 fantasy points. That's a solid game, but his ceiling is capped right now because his assist numbers are down. Curry has averaged 6.5 assists per game throughout his career, and this year that number is down to just 4.2. Steph is the best paydown option from Jokic tonight, just know there is a drop-off.

NBA DFS Showdown UTIL Top Plays

Aaron Gordon, Denver Nuggets

Aaron Gordon seems to be playing some of the best basketball he has in his NBA career. He is a big part of this offense, especially with Jamal Murray out for the time being. Over the last three games, Gordon has dished out at least five assists in each and grabbed at least eight rebounds while scoring at least 15 points. He is just the definition of a stat stuffer. With the offense running some stuff through Gordon, he is a must-play on the slate for me tonight.

Michael Porter Jr., Denver Nuggets

With Murray out, Porter Jr. slides into the secondary scoring role for this Nuggets team. That is in MPJ's wheelhouse because he is just an absolute bucket. He has played at least 29 minutes in three straight games and has at least 22 game points in each. You love the volume of shots he is getting as well as he is getting up at least 16 shot attempts in each. His price on this slate is very reasonable sitting at just 7K. It's a no-brainer.

Andrew Wiggins, Golden State Warriors

Wiggins has not had a great season statistically for the Warriors. He is averaging under 17 fantasy points per game. It pretty much comes down to him not taking many shot attempts, He has taken double-digit shot attempts in two out of the past five games. Plus when he does shoot the ball hasn't gone in the hoop. He is just 3-17 from three-point range on the season. An even larger concern is his free throw shooting which is at just 53%. Look, Wiggins is a 19-point-per-game scorer for his career, it will come around at some point. Perhaps tonight is the night he breaks out with most likely low-ownership.

NBA DFS Showdown Value Plays

Christian Braun, Denver Nuggets

Christian Braun has become this sixth-man spark plug for Denver off the bench. He is the definition of a hustle player. He is playing around 20 minutes a night, but averaging just over 20 fantasy points per game. If he starts the game hot tonight, I could see him playing a bit more tonight to help guard the perimeter players for the Warriors. Braun is cheap enough to fit him in your lineup tonight, and may go overlooked.

Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State Warriors

Kuminga is giving you very solid offensive numbers off the bench. He has scored double-digit points in all but one game this season. We just wish he would give us more rebounds, steals, or assists. Over his past five games, Kuminga has a total of just 9 total rebounds at the power forward position. With Draymond Green out at the beginning of the season, Kuminga grabbed five and six rebounds in two games. If he does that tonight he will hit his value.

Dario Saric, Golden State Warriors

Saric is a very good play tonight at his price. His price is just $4,400 and he has gone over five times that value in four of his past five games. It just seems like a miss-price for DraftKings tonight. Saric will get more than 20 minutes tonight, and as long as the ball goes in the hoop, it will be a very good night. We already know that he is going to rebound, as he has grabbed at least in every game but one this season. He is likely going to be heavy chalk on this slate tonight.
