NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Wednesday Playbook

Happy Wednesday, October 22nd, we have a 12-game NBA DFS main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel.

It's the second day of the NBA season and the first big slate of the year with 12 games on the docket. There are a bunch of injuries around the league already and we're going to learn a lot of a lot of teams in game number one.

Before actually diving into the meat and potatoes, welcome to the NBA DFS season. If this is your first time reading our column on NBA DFS picks, I just want to welcome you and give you a few tips and tricks on what you should be looking for each night.

• News outlets: reliable sources that give us injury news & starting lineups
• Pace of play: who's playing fast vs. who's playing slow. Which teams get a pace-up spot (more possessions) vs. pace-down (fewer possessions)

• This Karl-Anthony Towns saga today is insane. He was downgraded to doubtful earlier. A report came out he was still going to play and now he's been upgraded to questionable with the intention that he's playing. This hurts everyone involved that isn't named Jalen Brunson.
• Jalen Suggs IS playing for the first time this season. He missed all of preseason, so limit expectations on what the minutes will be.
• Anthony Edwards went through shootaround. Trending towards playing.
• 4:10 pm ET
• Donte DiVincenzo is starting at PG over Mike Conley. Love DiVincenzo's price on FanDuel at just $4.5K.
• Mavericks are going with big lineup w/ Cooper Flagg at PG. That means Flagg - Klay Thompson - P.J. Washington - Anthony Davis - Dereck Lively
• That Dallas lineup could lead to more double big lineups for the Spurs, which would firmly put Luke Kornet in play. They used Kornet-Wemby preseason lineups.
• Ja Morant will not have ANY minutes limit tonight. Firmly puts him in play.
• Players I'm thinking about that didn't make the playbook but could've: Michael Porter, Immanuel Quickley, Walter Clayton Jr. (GPPs), Anthony Davis
• 6:10 pm ET
• With De'Andre Hunter OUT, I'd love it if Jaylon Tyson started in his place.
• Joel Embiid IS on a minutes limit. We don't know the number.
