Happy Sunday, October 26th, we have a 7-game NBA DFS main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel.

It's the last day of the first week of the NBA season and the and it's been an incredible start to the season. There are a bunch of injuries around the league already and we have a lot of star power hitting the hardwood including Luka Doncic, LaMelo Ball, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Anthony Davis. 

Before actually diving into the meat and potatoes, welcome to the NBA DFS season. If this is your first time reading our column on NBA DFS picks, I just want to welcome you and give you a few tips and tricks on what you should be looking for each night.

• News outlets: reliable sources that give us injury news & starting lineups
• Pace of play: who's playing fast vs. who's playing slow. Which teams get a pace-up spot (more possessions) vs. pace-down (fewer possessions)

Pre/Post-Lock Update

• 1:10 pm ET - Update
• Brandon Miller is officially OUT.  Tre Mann should have a big role upgrade. He closed on Saturday, playing the final 8:48 of the game.
• 3:10 pm ET - Update 
• Bennedict Mathurin & Johnny Furphy are OUT. Quenton Jackson is IN.
• Jackson's interesting because he was clearly ahead of RayJ Dennis in the preseason, so how do things shake out with Jackson coming off an injury?
• Luka Doncic has been ruled OUT for a week. This is massive news and something that the Lakers are going to struggle with.
• My best guess would be Jake LaRavia into the starting lineup for Doncic. Could be Marcus Smart or Jarred Vanderbilt too.
• Austin Reaves, per dollar, is the best play of the slate. Massive bump to the likes of Rui Hachimura & Deandre Ayton too.
