Top-Price NBA DFS Core Plays

Luka Doncic, PG Dallas Mavericks

What more really needs to be said here? It's Luka Doncic in a great spot against the Kings in a game with a one-point spread and a 233.5 game total. He is consistently clocking in 60-to-70 FP efforts and we know the 100-point ceiling is there.

What I like about this play even more is the ownership where Luka is only 8% rostered on DK and 7% rostered on FanDuel. This is HUGE leverage on the field if he goes off for another classic Luka Doncic type performance.

UPDATED: Luka Doncic is now QUESTIONABLE to play. If he Is out then Kyrie Irving will be the highest rostered player on the slate.

Anthony Davis, C Los Angeles Lakers

If you want to follow the field, then Davis is your guy. LeBron James has already been ruled out tonight which has made AD one of the more popular plays on the entire slate as he runs up against the Bucks here tonight. We've seen Davis put up 70+ fantasy point efforts when James has been out of the lineup this season and while the Bucks do have a backcourt of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez, that doesn't seem to be scaring many from playing AD tonight.

Zion Williamson, PF New Orleans Pelicans

He is on the cover of today's NBA DFS livestream and for good reason as he continues to have a huge second half for the Pelicans this season. Brandon Ingram has already been ruled out which we know relates directly to increased usage for Williamson who is finally filling out the stat sheet for us DFS players.

De'Aaron Fox, PG Sacramento Kings

Fox continues to be one of the best Tier A values at the point guard position. Priced under $9,000 on DK and under $10,000 on FD, we are getting consistent 50+ fantasy point upside from Fox and this matchup against a Mavericks team that play at a fast pace with little defense is exactly what we are looking for when it comes to putting Fox in our lineups.

Mid-Price NBA DFS Core Plays

D'Angelo Russell, PG Los Angeles Lakers

If you have tuned into the Fantasy Alarm NBA Playbook Show this season then you have heard Grande talk many times about the increased usage and fantasy production that Russell sees when James is off the floor this season. Add to this matchup against the Bucks that will not include Patrick Beverley and this is an aces spot for Russell tonight.

CJ McCollum & Trey Murphy, New Orleans Pelicans

With Ingram out of the lineup both players get a boost here. Murphy starts and is not shy about taking shots while McCollum runs the offense and looks for more of his own offensive opportunities as well. We could be looking at a Western Conference playoff preview here tonight against the Thunder.

Khris Middleton, SF Milwaukee Bucks

He got to 33 minutes the other night and would have likely played over 30 minutes in his most recent game if not for the blowout. So, that being said, we should be looking to plug Middleton in our lineups tonight against the Lakers who are going to be without LeBron James. Middleton is a great value at his price tag and is coming off a triple-double effort the other night.

Value-Tier NBA DFS Core Plays

New Orleans Pelicans

Pick your poison here tonight when it comes to the Pelicans value plays as Jose Alvarado, Naji Marshall, Herb Jones and Larry Nance are all in play tonight and provide solid upside at their respective price points.

Rui Hachimura, PF Los Angeles Lakers

Hachimura already plays big minutes for the Lakers but we've seen him have big performances when LeBron James has been out of the lineup this season. If looking to stack this game tonight, which it seems from the Lakers side many are, then Hachimura provides a solid value/mid-tier option.

Keon Ellis, PG Sacramento Kings

This one is definitely a boom or bust play but we know the Kings like his defense and tonight they have to contend with both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Ellis has been starting for Kevin Huerter and has largely been a good value play with the lone expectation being his chalk night bust against the Wizards.
