The Orlando Magic were a big let down on multiple bets yesterday, but Bam Adebayo kept the damage to a minimum. Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets is back today with three more wagers. There are seven games today, with two nationally televised games. The Los Angeles Clippers play the Chicago Bulls on NBATV, and the Boston Celtics play the Phoenix Suns on ABC. There is a wager on the Celtics/Suns match and it features a player who has been on a roll. There is also a bet on a name mentioned yesterday, Nick Richards of the Charlotte Hornets. We go back to the same line but with much a higher percentage success rate. The Bet of the Day is a two-fold same game parlay on the Utah Jazz at Denver Nuggets. Let's dig into the NBA Best Bets and Player Props for Saturday's action.

EXPERT NBA BET OF THE DAY For MARCH 9

SAME GAME PARLAY: DENVER NUGGETS -4.5 & AARON GORDON OVER 5.5 REBOUNDS (+108 DraftKings Sportsbook)

Aaron Gordon had the rebound/dunk of the year in his last game against the Boston Celtics. It was discussed on all NBA media platforms, and the highlight reel was everywhere on social media. The full extension slam in what appeared to be Gordon frozen in the air before a furious dunk. What is lost in that amazing dunk is the fact that he rebounded the ball in order to make the dunk heard around the world.

In fact his rebounding has been better than average, and when opponents look to eliminate teammate Nikola Jokic off the glass, he can fill the void with double-digit performances. His shoulder is banged up but he has played through it for a few games. It could hinder him tonight, but he has six or more rebounds in his last five-of-six games played.

The Utah Jazz are a good rebounding team, and Gordon will be called on to help Jokic on the defensive glass. He could also get a few offensive boards as was apparent in the game against the Celtics two nights ago. He averages 6.5 rebounds per game, and if he attacks the glass as he has lately this will be an easy parlay to cover.

As for the spread, it has been teased down eight points to a 4.5 cover. The Utah Jazz beat the Denver Nuggets 124-111 the last time they played. Granted that was in Utah, a tough place to play, and during a Nuggets tough stretch of road games. Denver should win as they make their move for first in the Western Conference despite having a 5-5 record in the tough Northwest Division. Put a unit on the parlay and cheer on Aaron Gordon tonight.

NBA PLAYER PROPS FOR MARCH 9

JUSUF NURKIC OVER 11.5 REBOUNDS (-105 DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jusuf Nurkic and the Phoenix Suns host the Boston Celtics tonight. The Celtics experienced their first back-to-back losses since November, and they are in the middle of their five-game road trip. The Suns will not be an easy victory for the Eastern Conference leaders, and Nurkic is having his healthiest, best statistical year.

The 29-year-old seven-foot giant is one of the biggest and strongest players in the NBA. He is averaging 10.8 rebounds per game which puts him at seventh in the league. Nikola Jokic absolutely destroyed the Celtics Thursday night, and Nurkic could be just as dominant against the smaller Celtics.

Nurkic is asked to rebound and kick it out, his rebounds the last six games range from 14, 12, 31, 10, 13, to 22. He has been windex to the glass cleaning up everything, and the Celtics do not have anyone that can slow him down. As much as the media gushes about Kristaps Porzingis’ play this year he was absolutely bullied by Nikola Jokic in the post. Nurkic will look to play in the same bruising and bullying manner against Porzingis. A dozen rebounds are several for any player, but Nurkic has a clear advantage tonight and look for him to dominate around the rim.

NICK RICHARDS UNDER 9.5 REBOUNDS (-140 DraftKings Sportsbook)

Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets went against its most tried and true betting angle and lost (serves me right for going against my own research and favorite betting angle). Tonight the Charlotte Hornets play their second of back-to-back games. They just lost to the worst team in the league, and have a tough rebounding opponent in the Brooklyn Nets tonight.

The Nets allow the second-fewest rebounds, the second-fewest points, the second-fewest assists, and the second-lowest fantasy points to opposing centers. Richards also played over 30- minutes last night, a rare occurrence for him. So tonight could be a tough one for Richards. Nic Claxton is healthy and should have a good game against the lowly Hornets, who have the longest losing streak in the league, with six.

Trust the under as we go back to the same line but under different circumstances.
