Wednesday brings us a massive 11 game slate, one of the biggest slates thus far. I’ll help identify some players you’ll want some exposure to through this massive slate. There’s plenty of options today so there’s plenty of ways you can go.

Point Guard

John Wall is always on my radar when he’s under $9,000 and where is he today? $8,600. The matchup is not ideal as Boston is in the top five in fantasy points allowed. He’s well worth a look in GPPs as people may pivot off of him because of the matchup.

Chris Paul is also under $9,000 and I just don’t see how anyone can fade him. Portland currently gives up the 4th most fantasy points to PGs and that will not change anytime soon. This game should also be one of the higher scoring games of the night.

Ish Smith has the best matchup of the slate and he’s facing off against the Phoenix Suns. The Suns were torched yet again last night by the Blazers backcourt. He’s coming off an abysmal performance against the Clippers so hopefully his ownership is deflated in this one.

My value play has to be Marcus Smart. His upside isn’t very high but his minutes are locked into the 27-32 range. He’s a great cash play and Smart could hit 30 fantasy points tonight.

Shooting Guard

If you’re not a fan of Marcus Smart, go with Avery Bradley. He’s been on a tear lately and he’s finally filling up the stat sheet, something we haven’t seen him do in the NBA. The Celtics are banged up and Bradley is stepping up.

J.J. Barea is nearing the unplayable price. He’s $6,700 and his price just keeps increasing. He’s been on a roll lately and if you haven’t played him over the last few games, you’re missing out. The Mavs will be taking on the Warriors in what should be a high-scoring game. Roll him out there one last time but I won’t be touching him when he hits $7,000.

It’s tough to look at SG and skip over C.J. Miles’ name. He’s SG/SF eligible, so play him where you please. He’s stuck around 24 minutes but he’s red hot right now. The Sixers defense just isn’t good and with Embiid out, they should get squashed tonight. Miles will get his normal 24 minutes on the bench and don’t be surprised if he scored 20 points.

Kent Bazemore is finally heating up after an ugly start to the season. He destroyed the Cavs last night and hit a game-winning three-pointer. His upside isn’t very high due to some of the heavy usage players around him but his floor is climbing. He’s a bit risky but he was very reliable last season and he should be the same way this season.

Small Forward

Tobias Harris is typically one of the safest plays of any slate but he’s been killing his owners over the last two games. Scoring 15 and 16 fantasy points over his last two games. He’s now facing off against an awful Phoenix team and he’s in a great spot to bounce back. Harris will likely have foul-prone Marquese Chriss on him and that’s easy money for his fantasy owners.

Along with Harris, a cheaper alternative is Marcus Morris. I wouldn’t stack DET tonight but Marcus Morris is $5500 and if you can’t afford Harris, Morris is a fine pivot.

Kevin Durant is in a decent spot tonight considering he’s $9,500 but he’s just a GPP play for me. There’s too many stars under $9,000 and it’ll be tough to fit in KD. Throw him into some GPPs and hope he destroys Harrison Barnes

The Celtics just haven’t guarded the SF position very well and Jae Crowder’s injury has something to do with it. Otto Porter has had a few duds this year but he’s also gone over 40 fantasy points twice this season. Porter has a good matchup in what should be a close game so he should have a solid game.

Power Forward

I’m going to get some exposure to the Mavs and Warriors game but I’m not sure how just yet. Draymond Green is still under $8,000 and he’s been one of the most consistent fantasy players so far. He has a very high floor and he’s a threat for a 50-burger anytime he steps on the court.

Ersan Ilyasova has a chance to play some big minutes in this one. Joel Embiid is out and that leaves 24 minutes and a whole lot of usage on the table. Brett Brown said he plans on using either Saric or Ilyasova at the five for some of this game and that makes Ilyasova an interesting GPP target.

One guy I just can’t trust in cash but will throw into GPPs is Kristaps Porzingis. He’s finally starting to pick it up after a slow start to the season. The Knicks have a few high usage guys so he’s become the forgotten man in some games. He’s now scored 56 points over the last two games and now has a matchup with Brooklyn who has given up the 7th most fantasy points to PFs.

Taj Gibson should see his normal allotment of minutes against a Hawks team that has two very talented bigs in Dwight Howard and Paul Millsap. Gibson will try to slow them down and he should play 30 minutes or so. He’s a good bet for a double-double in this one but he doesn’t have much upside so limit your exposure in GPPs.

Centers

Dwight Howard has scored less than 35 fantasy points in just one game this season. He’s rebounding at a very high rate and has shown no signs of slowing down. Chicago has given up the fifth-most fantasy points to centers and it’s very unlikely they slow down Dwight Howard.

Karl Anthony-Towns is a great play tonight against Nikola Vucevic and the Magic. He had 30 DK points at half yesterday but battled foul trouble and had a very disappointing night. There is talk that Bismack Biyombo could start for the Magic tonight which would hurt KAT’s stock a bit, so keep an eye on that. Otherwise, fire him up as one of best plays of the night.

Mason Plumlee has some odd hatred for the Clippers because he always seems to have his best games against them. Anytime he gets minutes, he usually produces. He fills up the stat sheet and the Blazers will need him against a massive Clippers frontcourt.

The Sixers have given up the most fantasy points to centers so far this year. With that being said, Myles Turner is about as far from safe as you can get. He hasn’t seen 30 minutes since the second game of the year and he’s still priced at a ridiculous $7,100. His ownership should be miniscule but we know his upside is tremendous. GPP only!

Good Luck!
