With all of the Cavs Big Three resting, there’s going to be a ton of stars and studs lineups being made tonight.

Point Guard

John Wall’s price dropped after two 50 fantasy point performances. Yeah, I’m not sure why either. Take advantage of the discount and Wall should have a great game against the Hornets who have been average at best against opposing PGs.

Elfrid Payton and D.J. Augustin have been getting burned by point guards lately and it’s time to target players against them. Chris Paul is in store for another huge game tonight, but he’s more of a GPP option with Blake Griffin back in the lineup.

Kyle Lowry is playing the Sixers and you know what that means. Play him. It’ll be tough to fit both Wall and Lowry or Lowry/Paul but do what you can to get one of those combos in your lineup. Lowry has burned the Sixers in the past and it should be the same old story tonight.

Iman Shumpert has never been the main guy in terms of scoring the basketball, but he can contribute across the board. He has a golden opportunity to perform tonight with the Big Three out of the lineup. He’s going to be chalky but at $3,700 he’s a tough fade. However, fading him in a few GPP lineups could benefit you strongly if he flops.

Shooting Guard

J.R. Smith is just $3,500 because he’s been miserable lately. He sees a massive 14 percent usage rate bump when the Big Three are out of the lineup so he may see ownership over 60 percent today. He’s going to be the main source of points for the Cavs but he’s just been awful lately. Similar to Shumpert, you can fade him in a few GPPs because the ownership is going to be insanely high.

There’s going to be a ton of Cavs players on here and I apologize for that but it must be done. DeAndre Liggins is $3,000, which is the minimum price. He started against the Grizzlies last night and he was able to score 21 fantasy points. It’s nothing to write home about but at just $3,000 that’s not a bad day.

Sean Kilpatrick will likely go a bit under the radar, but I think he can be considered in GPPs. I certainly wouldn’t overexpose myself to Kilpatrick with Lin back in the lineup, but he’s going to be very low owned. GPP only!

Even in a rough matchup, Avery Bradley is a great cash game option today. With Isaiah Thomas likely to sit, I expect Bradley to hit 5x value against the Spurs. I wouldn’t consider him in GPPs but he’s a very safe option in cash.

Small Forward

Omri Casspi has been logging heavy minutes lately and with Rudy Gay out of the lineup tonight, his minutes should increase to the 32-35 range. He can really burn you due to his limited upside but his price tag is affordable at $4,400.

Luol Deng has been very solid lately, but it’s anyone’s guess for when this streak will end. He’s facing the Nets who are just terrible on defense and he’s definitely an option tonight at $4,000.

Kawhi Leonard is the only expensive SF option I’m even considering today and I’m still not too happy about it. He’s $8,100 and playing the Celtics. He’s gone over 50 fantasy points just once over his last 17 games, so the upside really isn’t there at this price. Sure, he’s hit 45-49 a few times but he doesn’t have big-time upside as long as the Spurs are healthy/ not resting their vets. UPDATE: Aldridge is out for tonight, Leonard becomes much more enticing as his usage rate should climb 5-7 percent.

Power Forward

Julius Randle exploded in his first game against the Nets for 52 DK points. He’s now just $5,900 and deserves strong consideration in GPPs. This should be one of the highest scoring games of the night and few have as much upside as Randle.

Trevor Booker is also an option tonight. Randle and Booker will have the task of slowing each other down, but neither are great defensively so it’s conceivable that  both have monster games. Booker can fill up the stat sheet, so it’ll be tough to decide between the two -- unless you plan on playing both…

Channing Frye should see extended run tonight, but it’ll be tough to pinpoint the best two or three Cavs value plays for tonight. Frye could hit six threes in 25 minutes or do absolutely nothing, so he’s one of the riskier cavs players.

David Lee is yet another insanely cheap option on today’s slate. If it wasn’t a stars and scrubs night before this, it’s confirmed now. Good luck everyone, it’s going to be a crazy DFS night.

Center

Brook Lopez exploded for 55 points in his last performance against the Lakers and luckily I rostered both Randle and Lopez on that night. I doubt it’ll happen again but the matchups are still pure gold and Lopez is the more appealing option even with the increased price.

Pau Gasol becomes an intriguing option as well, he should see a significant bump in usage with Aldridge out of the lineup. The Celtics aren’t the greatest against big men and if Gasol plays, he’ll be an option for sure.

With DeMarcus Cousins also out, Kosta Koufos becomes a very intriguing play at rock-bottom price. He doesn’t have too much upside and the Rockets tend to go small so be careful with Koufos. With that being said, a double-double is definitely a possibility.

Marc Gasol is the only player on the Grizzlies I’m considering playing and that’s because he’s been incredible lately. He’s coming off of a rest day and before that, he scored 43, 43, 70, 51, 51, 44 in his last six games. You can’t ignore that production for a guy under $7,000.
