With the NBA finals finally upon us, Boom Fantasy has a huge night in store. The itch for NBA DFS is real and BOOM is the one that has your fix starting tonight!
The eight-question tournament Boom has in store for us tonight is a good one, and it starts off with an extremely tough, but fair question: who will score more points between Kevin Love and Klay Thompson? If we’re basing it off results throughout this postseason, Love takes the cake fairly easy, but we all know how quickly Thompson can go out and score 20 in a quarter if his shots falling. Thompson has two 20-point contests during this entire postseason stretch. Love had three 20-point outings in the ECF alone.
The second question could be the most difficult one of the night, as it involves arguably the three best players in the world and Kyrie Irving who’s proven himself to be quite the scorer come NBA Finals time. Who will score the most points between James, Curry, Durant, and Irving? It’s anyone’s guess. That being said, based on the entire postseason, it goes James, Curry, Durant and Irving in that order, in terms of points per game. But with the way Boom works, it may not hurt risking this question by taking a guy like Irving because the amount of points you would get if you were right would put you in the driver’s seat.
We jump down low where there figures to be a lot of bruising going on, as question three asks us who will grab the most rebounds between Tristan Thompson, Kevin Love, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant. Although Love leads all of the aforementioned named in rebounding this postseason, Thompson is the favorite. Golden State doesn’t have many weaknesses, but rebounding is one of them. Thompson abused them on the boards in the previous two finals and he should continue with that trend again this series. That said, don’t sleep on the others. Green is a walking triple-double while Durant is a sneaky good rebounder that manages to grab a boatload of boards before you even realize how good he’s been on the glass.
We pass it off to question four, which has to do exactly that: passing. This question is one of the easier ones in this tournament. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that both teams’ point-guards are a part of the question, along with Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala. Green is definitely the favorite while Iggy is a long shot, but Curry and Irving are definitely Wild Cards. Curry could turn into a double-digit assist guy if Durant and Thompson get it going, same for Irving who’s had at least six assists in six-of-nine games.
Question five is one of the multi-sport questions including two baseball players, but you should stay away from them. As they sit now, Mike Trout who recently landed on the DL is one of the answers and Miguel Sano, who’s missed multiple games in a row is the other one. So that leaves us with Klay Thompson and J.R. Smith shooting three’s and it could simply come down to who has the hot hand between the two.
The next three questions follow the single player format. Question six asks us how many assists King James will rack up. It’s always easy to pencil James in for at least seven assists, which happens to be his career average, but from there he’s a Wild Card. He could be in assassin Michael Jordan mode in which case he’ll look to score 40, which would obviously limit his assists. But, James could also go for the majestic Magic Johnson-esque game and pass first, score second, and end up with 20 dimes. Question seven hops over to the other team, asking us how many points Steph Curry will end up with. Curry had a bad NBA finals a year ago but has looked great this postseason. Everyone who watched last year’s games remembers, and may short him. But never doubt Stephen Curry’s excellence at scoring the basketball. And last but not least, we knew it was coming, how many points will LeBron James score? I touched on it above – it’s a total mystery. What we know is he’s averaging 32.5 PPG this postseason. For his career, he’s averaged 28.3 PPG during the postseason, so he’s actually been looking to score a lot this postseason. Consider that when submitting your final answer.
Everyone’s excited basketball’s back and should be doubly excited that they can play NBA DFS again tonight. Make sure to consider these facts when putting your answers in and dominating the leaderboards.
