🤔 Pistons vs. Thunder Predictions for NBA on Peacock, 3/30
Both the Pistons and Thunder looked to be on the fast track to the #1 seeds in their respective conferences, but it’s not so simple anymore. Detroit is now without Cade Cunningham and Victor Wembanyama the San Antonio Spurs refuse to leave OKC alone. So, making Pistons vs. Thunder predictions is as crucial as ever.
Even if you don’t think that it’s going to be the eventual NBA Finals matchup, who doesn’t love hitting some NBA expert picks? We recently saw Detroit in a featured matchup over the weekend as well, and since Anthony Edwards didn’t make it back for the Minnesota Timberwolves, they cruised to another victory.
As for OKC, they’re the ones who were just on the court last night, taking on the New York Knicks. That means back-to-back days, not just games, taking on top Eastern Conference contenders, which we’ll have to keep in mind when locking in the best bet from our Pistons vs. Thunder predictions.
🔥 Pistons vs. Thunder Best Bet: Tobias Harris Over 8.5 Rebounds + Assists (-111 at Novig)
A potential NBA Finals preview, of course, means an East vs. West matchup, so we don’t see it often. That said, the first of their two meetings actually wasn’t too long ago - almost exactly a month ago. It was one in which Detroit came through for its fans, supporting them with their Pistons vs. Thunder predictions.
However, it was also while Cade Cunningham was still healthy and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (and others in OKC) weren’t. Given that Cade put up 29 points and 13 assists, it’s safe to say that his absence certainly plays a part in OKC being favored, even on a back-to-back.
That’s not to say that Detroit can’t hold their own; we also saw Jalen Duren put up 29 alongside Cade while pulling down 15 boards in the previous meeting. To flip the script yet again, OKC was without both Isaiah Hartenstein AND Chet Holmgren to try and box him out. As you can see, there are so many variables regarding Pistons vs. Thunder predictions.
Although they’re the underdogs, we’re still going to focus on Detroit with Tobias Harris. He’s not a guy who lights up the scoreboard, but he’s a consistent starter in the NBA with his ability to do the “other” stuff. Prior to the slow-paced Timberwolves game this past weekend, he hit this prop in five of the previous six games.
He narrowly squeaked over with nine R+A vs. OKC a month ago, but he should handle a few of Cade’s 13 assists that should be missing. We aren’t calling for the upset, but we do have Tobias Harris over 8.5 rebounds + assists (-111 at Novig) as the best bet from our Pistons vs. Thunder predictions.
