NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 11/7
Our NBA best bets for Saturday are Knicks vs. Cavaliers Under 224.5 and the Warriors -5.5 against Orlando. On the prop side, we're featuring Victor Wembanyama Over 27.5 points and Alperen Sengun Over 16.5 rebounds plus assists, with more player props listed below. Shop around before you bet.
Knicks vs. Cavaliers Prediction: Saturday, 11/7
- Pick: Under 224.5
Cleveland is in a tough spot. The Cavaliers are on the second night of a back-to-back after hosting Philadelphia on Friday, and Jarrett Allen's knee leaves his status in doubt. Without their starting center, the Cavaliers lose much of their interior scoring and rebounding.
New York brings one of the league's better defenses, allowing 105.5 points per 100 possessions, fifth-best in the NBA according to ESPN's Hollinger team stats. The Knicks also play at a more controlled 100.1 pace, while their offense ranks just 18th at 109.5 points per 100 possessions.
The risk is Cleveland's recent scoring, with seven of the Cavaliers' nine games going over this number. But on tired legs and possibly without Allen, against a top-five defense, we expect a grind. Under 224.5 is our first of Saturday's NBA best bets.
Magic vs. Warriors Prediction: Saturday, 11/7
- Pick: Warriors -5.5
Golden State has been one of the most reliable teams in the league against the spread, covering in seven of nine games, and the Warriors are 6-3 with the fourth-best offense in the NBA at 116.2 points per 100 possessions.
Orlando is reeling. The Magic are 2-6 and have lost three straight, they're still without Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs, and their offense ranks near the bottom of the league at 105.6 points per 100 possessions. Their defense allows 113.1, which gives Stephen Curry and the Warriors plenty to work with.
The market has moved to Golden State -6.5 at several books, so -5.5 is a strong number to grab. Warriors -5.5 rounds out our game picks among today's NBA best bets.
Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 11/7
Victor Wembanyama Over 27.5 Points
Wembanyama is averaging 29.1 points, fourth in the NBA, and he's coming off 52 points against Dallas and 30 points in just 26 minutes in Sacramento. He's cleared this line in five of his last seven games, with totals of 29, 36, 43, 52 and 30.
His volume is elite, with 18 or more shots in seven of nine games and 23 free-throw attempts in the Dallas game alone.
The risk is the back-to-back. San Antonio played Friday, and his 12-point game against Utah came in just 24 minutes, so confirm he's active and not on a restriction. Portland allows 108.9 points per 100 possessions, and a 3.5-point spread suggests a competitive game where the Spurs will need their star.
Alperen Sengun Over 16.5 Rebounds + Assists
Sengun is averaging 9.1 rebounds and 8.1 assists, and he's cleared this line in five straight games with totals of 17, 18, 18, 17 and 22. He's posted double-digit assists in each of his last two games while playing 38 and 39 minutes.
Phoenix is the perfect opponent for this prop. The Suns have the worst rebound rate in the league at 45.9%, which leaves more boards available on both ends, and the worst defense at 120.9 points allowed per 100 possessions, which means more made baskets for Sengun to assist on.
Houston is a 6.5-point road favorite, so a lopsided game could trim his fourth-quarter minutes, but Sengun does most of his work in the first three quarters as the hub of the league's second-best offense.
More player props we like on Saturday's slate:
- Andrew Nembhard Over 15.5 Points: Nembhard is averaging 19.0 points and has cleared this line in six of seven games, and Denver allows 113.1 points per 100 possessions.
- Tristan da Silva Over 11.5 Points: Da Silva is averaging 14.6 points and playing 30 to 35 minutes a night with Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs out.
