However they are not going to stop the Spurs who are second in the Western Conference. San Antonio has won 15 games on the road this season, and has a complete roster. One that excels at both offense and defense. The Spurs have limited opponents to 112.1 points per game, and have a +5.1 point differential.

Their decision to rest Victor Wembanyama in the third quarter, and starting the fourth quarter has been a knockout punch for the Spurs. If the game is even remotely close, the Spurs find a way to clamp down and play elite defense. Washington has been forced into a position of doing more with Dereck Lively and Anthony Davis out for extended time. Particularly in the rebounding department.
