Today’s MLB DFS coverage is for the medium 9-game main slate that starts at 7:05 pm ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Starting pitching is headlined by Tyler Glasnow and Corbin Burnes. We do have Coors Field on the slate, so keep that in mind when setting lineups. Fernando Tatis Jr. is the most expensive player from that game, while Ronald Acuna Jr. is the most expensive hitter overall. Grande is on the playbook today, make sure to give that a read, and don’t forget to check out the MLB Lineups page, Vegas Odds, and all of our MLB DFS Tools. Let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!

MLB DFS Value Pitcher

Nick Pivetta, Boston Red Sox (DraftKings: $8,000 / FanDuel: $8,000)

Pivetta pitched so poorly that he lost his spot in the rotation… and then became unhittable. Since being bumped from the rotation, he has a 1.98 ERA and 58 Ks across 41 innings. He’s been even better lately, with 12 shutout innings and 19 Ks over his last three outings. He makes his return to the rotation tonight and in a pretty good spot as he is facing the Seattle Mariners. He is very cheap and considering he has pitched 6 innings (87 pitches) and 5 innings (80 pitches) recently, he shouldn’t be very limited, if at all.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Gary Sanchez, C, San Diego Padres (DraftKings: $3,700 / FanDuel: $3,300)

Sanchez has been a roller-coaster of highs and lows this year, but he is back on a high right now, hitting .281 over his last 10 games with FOUR home runs. He has crushed lefties this season, hitting .255 against them with a .917 OPS and 6 home runs in 55 at-bats, compared to a .191 average, .683 OPS, and 6 home runs against righties in 105 at-bats. Oh and he’s playing at Coors Field tonight. Yes please.

Marco Luciano, SS, San Francisco Giants (DraftKings: $2,700 / FanDuel: $2,400)

Luciano is off to a solid start in the bigs, going 3-11 (.273) with a double, walk, and two runs scored through his first four games. He was having a big year in the minors and he is one of the games top prospects. He faces Ryne Nelson tonight, who sucks and has a 4.97 ERA and 1.41 WHIP on the season while giving up 18 home runs.

Colton Cowser, OF, Baltimore Orioles (DraftKings: $2,600 / FanDuel: $2,200)

Cowser has been absolutely terrible with the Orioles since being called up, but he is still a high ranking prospect and he is in a good spot today. Lefties have done ALL of the damage against Chris Bassitt this season, hitting .276 against him with a .897 OPS and 15 home runs in 225 at-bats, compared to the .204 average, .554 OPS, and four home runs that righties have produced against him in 255 at-bats. This could be one of his last opportunities to make an impression and not get demoted.
