Shohei Ohtani Underdog MLB Pick - Lower Than 3.5 Hits Allowed

The Brewers’ bats have gone ice cold, and Jackson Chourio was forced out of Game 3 early. Milwaukee’s bats have struggled this series, and overall in the postseason, they have slashed .152/.233/.250 on the road, and .213/.296/.341 against RHP.

In his lone postseason start, Ohtani brought out his splitter a bit more, throwing it 10% of the time, a mark he surpassed on just two occasions during the regular season. He also finds himself on the better side of his home/road splits, logging a 1.71 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and 33.3 K-BB% at home in 2025.

While Ohtani may be struggling at the dish, this is the perfect way for him to make his mark on the NLCS, and possibly send the Dodgers to the World Series. I expect a lot of whiffs and weak contact from the Brewers against Ohtani in Game 4.

Kevin Gausman Underdog MLB Pick - Lower Than 5.5 Strikeouts

Gausman’s eight strikeouts through 11.1 postseason innings come out to a 6.35 K/9, and if Seattle runs out six lefties in its lineup, that doesn’t necessarily bode well for Gausman’s strikeout total. During the regular season, he had a 22.7 K% vs. LHH and a 19.7 K% when facing lefties on the road.

Furthermore, his strikeout rate on the road (22.7%) in the regular season was nearly four percentage points lower than at home (26.0 K%).

Gausman had five strikeouts across 5.2 IP earlier this series, but this will be the second time they see him, so I’d expect some better results against Gausman’s fastball/splitter profile.
