Without further ado, let's dive into the top MLB player picks on Underdog Fantasy for Wednesday, September 27th.

Jose Berrios, Toronto Blue Jays - HIGHER than 15.5 Pitching Outs

First things first, Berrios has faced the Yankees twice this year, logging 6.2 innings and 5.2 innings across those contests. His last start actually was against the Yankees in the Bronx, and while Berrios wasn’t his sharpest, he fell just one out short of getting through six innings. This line of 15.5 pitching outs is very appealing, considering that Berrios has surpassed this line in seven straight starts, and he’s on the best side of his splits, as he’s been far better at home this year than on the road.

The veteran righty has made 14 starts at home this year, and he’s recorded at least 16 outs in 12 of those 14 outings. Some Yankees have some notable BvP numbers against Berrios, but Berrios at home is a different beast, and this Yankees lineup is largely underwhelming.

Lefties have given him fits, but there shouldn’t be but a handful of them in the lineup, so I like Berrios to approach quality start territory in this AL East showdown. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this line move as the day goes on, and I’d be willing to play it up to 17.5 pitching outs.

Max Muncy, Los Angeles Dodgers - HIGHER than 1.5 Total Bases

Have you seen the player props for the Dodgers tonight!? Good lord! I know it’s Coors Field, and I know it’s Noah Davis, but holy moly! All of that to say, Muncy at 1.5 total bases at Coors Field against Noah Davis is something I want to attack. It’s a small sample size, but Davis has a 20.57 ERA and 2.57 HR/9 at home this season, and left-handed hitters have decimated Davis this season, to the tune of a .345/.446/.564 slash line and a .434 wOBA.

Muncy has a .900 OPS and .290 ISO against right-handed pitching this season, and over his last 15 games, he’s slashing .295/.366/.541. I certainly won’t disagree with you in terms of looking at the likes of Mookie Betts or Freddie Freeman, but they have some lofty numbers to reach tonight, whereas with Muncy, all we need is a couple of hits, or for him to get ahold of one against the struggling Davis in the best park in baseball for hitters.
