After a perfect 2-for-2 day from Josh Wagner yesterday, we’ll look to keep the good vibes high and end this week on a high note! To be fair, there were quite a few MLB player props that I liked today, and I had a difficult time paring down the list, as there are some good matchups and data points that indicate some big days ahead for some popular fantasy baseball stars. Some of my favorite MLB player props today focus on Kevin Gausman of the Toronto Blue Jays, Cincinnati Reds budding superstar Elly De La Cruz, and the scorching hot Josh Naylor of the Cleveland Guardians. I also throw in some bonus player props to consider at the end! Don't forget to check out the latest MLB weather report and the confirmed MLB lineups when placing those MLB betting picks, and our MLB daily projections and MLB Batter vs Pitcher page will help uncover the best matchups for MLB player props and your MLB DFS lineups. Let's dive into the top MLB player picks on Underdog Fantasy for Sunday, June 11th.

Kevin Gausman, Toronto Blue Jays - OVER 8.0 Strikeouts

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: When Gausman is at home, he warrants consideration regardless of the matchup. Gausman’s current 34.3 percent strikeout rate would be his best mark in any season of his career, and not only does he have a sub-2.00 ERA when pitching at home this year, he has a massive 38 percent strikeout rate, and 33.7 percent K-BB rate. In six home starts this year, he’s posted strikeout totals of 11, 13, 10, 4, 11, and 13, good for a 10.3 average. He struck out eight Twins on the road back on May 26, and this Twins squad has the highest strikeout rate in baseball over the last two weeks, and the highest mark this season against right-handed pitching.

Josh Naylor, Cleveland Guardians - OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Naylor is scorching hot right now, as he’s slashing .513/.533/.769 with one home run, 11 runs scored, and 16 RBI during his ten-game hit streak. Furthermore, he has not one, not two, not three, not four, but five straight multi-hit efforts, and he has at least two total bases in eight of his last ten games. Naylor has an .848 OPS against righties this season, and Houston’s Brandon Bielak has been far less impressive on the road than at home this season. He has a .347 BAA and 2.35 HR/9 on the road this season, and left-handed hitters have had his number, to the tune of a .310/.375/.448 slash line.

Elly De La Cruz, Cincinnati Reds - OVER 8.5 Fantasy Points

Wainwright has served up 45 hits through 31.2 IP this year, and with a K/9 of just 5.40 and swinging strike rate of just 6.4 percent, we can confidently say that Wainwright is not missing bats. Opposing hitters have an 85.5 percent contact rate and 92.3 percent zone contact rate against the veteran righty this season, and it may only take one instance of contact from De La Cruz to give us the over. Left-handed hitters have a .379 average and .636 SLG against Wainwright this season, and through his first five big league games, De La Cruz has one home run, one double, one triple, five runs scored, three RBI, two stolen bases, an average exit velocity of 99.8 mph, and a hard-hit rate of 88.9 percent. The weather could pose some issues here, but a late start seems more likely than a full postponement.
