Gerrit Cole, New York Yankees – OVER 7.5 Strikeouts 

Going over the top of high total strikeout props is tough for any pitcher as so many things need to go right. You can't get the pitch count up too high, you can't get injured, you're team can't be ahead by too much or else they'll rest the ace for another game these are reasons to hesitate but with Gerrit Cole today against the Chicago Cubs its too juicy to ignore. Cole has gone over his prop of 7.5 strikeouts in 8 starts this season and today he gets the Cubs who are offensively challenged scoring just 4.52 runs per game on the road. They also strikeout a ton on the road, 9.68 times per game to be exact. That's the 6th highest rate in the entire MLB this season! Cole has also managed to go at least 6 innings in 5 of his last 6 starts only falling short against the league's best offense in the Texas Rangers so that can be forgiven. With all of that out there give me the Yankees ace to pitch a gem today against the Cubs. 

Fernando Tatis Jr. – OVER 1.5 Total Bases

The San Diego Padres have been super frustrating this season no doubt but their star player Fernando Tatis Jr.. Jr. has been holding up his end of the bargain to this point in the season. In just 68 games this season Tatis Jr. leads the team in total bases with 151 and has 16 home runs already which is incredible considering he missed the first 20 games of the season. The batting average has also been impressive as he is hitting .286 which also leads the starting lineup tonight. That puts his total bases prop firmly in the sights tonight as he has gone over his prop line of 1.5 in 4 of his 6 games this month of July. Some of those games were 3 hit games too and they hit easily. Things get better too as the New York Mets are sending out David Peterson to pitch tonight and he's been a gas can all season long with a 6.61 ERA and 1.67 WHIP. Peterson will allow at least 5-6 hits tonight if not more and with Tatis Jr. only hitting 1 home run so far this month he may be due to go yard again so give me the Padres superstar to top his prop tonight.
