Let's look to end the week on a high note after going 2-for-3 yesterday with MLB player props. After crunching the numbers and sifting through the data, I’ve identified my favorite MLB player props for Sunday, July 23rd. My best bets of the day on Underdog Fantasy feature Ketel Marte against the Cincinnati Reds, Bailey Ober taking on the Chicago White Sox, and Austin Riley facing the Milwaukee Brewers. Don't forget to check out the latest MLB weather reportand the confirmed MLB lineups when placing those MLB betting picks, and our MLB daily projections and MLB Batter vs Pitcher page will help uncover the best matchups for MLB player props and your MLB DFS lineups. Let's dive into the top MLB player picks on Underdog Fantasy for Sunday, July 23rd.

Ketel Marte, Arizona Diamondbacks - MORE than 1.5 Total Bases

Luke Weaver pitching at Great American Ball Park in a game with a double-digit over/under? YES PLEASE! Weaver has an 8.44 ERA and 1.50 WHIP at home this year, and while the numbers against Weaver this year have been better for righties, it’s not like lefties haven’t hit Weaver at all. This year, lefties have a .267 average and .351 wOBA against Weaver. Marte has an .872 OPS and .248 ISO against right-handed pitching this season, and if you like home/road splits, Marte has a .909 OPS and .257 ISO on the road in 2023. Over his last 12 games, he’s slashing .300/.352/.600 with two home runs, five doubles, and two triples during this run.

Bailey Ober, Minnesota Twins - MORE than 5.5 Strikeouts

The White Sox have the eighth-highest strikeout rate against righties here in July, and Ober has surpassed this line in four of his last seven starts. Over his last four starts, Ober has a 35.3 O-Swing% and 13.4 SwStr%, and he’s been no stranger to missing bats this year. The White Sox bats don’t have good BvP numbers against Ober, and he’s sporting a 2.98 ERA at home this season. I love the matchup, and Ober has been very, very reliable of late for Minnesota. Six strikeouts, that’s all we are asking!

Austin Riley, Atlanta Braves - MORE than 1.5 Total Bases

For the year, Teheran’s 4.01 ERA doesn’t look half bad. However, the wheels are coming off a bit, as he’s posted a 9.37 ERA and 2.76 HR/9 over his last three starts. Teheran has to face an Atlanta offense that is insane, and Riley has posted an .810 OPS and .199 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. The allure with Riley here is that he’s scorching hot at the plate right now, as he has multi-hit efforts in four of his last five games, and he’s homered in not one, not two, not three, not four, but five games straight! Over his last 21 plate appearances, not only does he have six home runs (8 XBH), but he also has a .476/.476/1.476 slash line!
